For all you who hate to run..

OK - there are 3 good reasons why I don't run:

#1) It's February and I don't have a treadmill
#2) I workout before my husband gets home from work, so there's no one to watch my daughter
3#) Running sucks!

So...what do others who don't run do when Cathe puts a 30 interval un in the rotation? That's on the menu for this evening and I would normally do half of an IMAX. But darn it! I just did IMAX 2 days ago!!!!! (that's IMAX 1, 2 days ago. Not IMAX2, days ago)

I was thinking the Hi/Lo of MIC, but I don't know...

I have a treadmill, but never use it. I don't really like to run either. I usually do the SB challenge and the 3 intervals from Step & Intervals if I don't feel like doing the Imax's. I think it clocks in a round 30 min.

How about doing the high intenstiy drills of KPC? I love that one. Or how about the cardio in Step and Intervals from CTX?

Running does suck. Sucks eggs. Makes my knees hurt and I will not run. Can't make me!!!! LOL!!!

i would like to run, but my body says otherwise. bummer, cause it looks fun and it is great for burning cals and fat!

You could always substitute any of the ctx cardio sections or either 1/2 of mic depending on if you prefer hi/lo or step.

Hi.

I would love to run but I just can't do it. I have tried. In all of the years I have been doing aerobics I have never been able to run. I don't know what it is about running that kicks my butt all over the place...I just can't hack it. *SIGH* ;(

PS- I guess I would probably just do some form of intense cardio for 30 minutes in place of a run...

Have a great work out!

I dont mind running, but there is no way I'm going out this time of year. One of my running substitutes is hi/lo from SJP. Sometimes I'll do it twice through since its only about 20 minutes.

I hate running, never have liked it one bit. In highschool they used to make us do these timed runs and the best part to me was when we stopped. I really did like the feeling of having completed it, and I would be all sweaty etc, and for some reason it was almost worth it just to have the joy at the end when it was over.

It does hurts, and I am too big up top to run comfortably, so I mountain bike and cross country ski. This winter I actually got a bike trainer so I could bring my poor little bike in from the cold, and now I ride it indoors. I think my bike, who I've named Pee Wee, is happy and I know I am much happier.

I HATE HATE RUNNING! Did it for 10+ years in my twenties and it totally burned me out. I tried doing intervals on my treadmill a couple of months ago and the pain and misery I felt all those years ago came flooding back. NEVER AGAIN!

The only Cathe I have that comes close to how I would feel following a 10K road race is MIC. That's the one I reach for if I do a Cathe rotation and it calls for (I even shudder at the thought!) running.

Hi!

First off I have to admit... I don't hate to run, I don't like to run on a treadmil though..but running outside gets me out of the house and in the sunshine, and it is a good change up now and then. I can definetly feel the impact on my knees, so I only run 2x per week in the summer months.

I have a Spinning bike, Treadmil and an Eliptical machine... I LOVE my eliptical Machine..no impact and a great workout too!! Plus you can take a phone call, and or deal with kids while your working out on it I bought mine at a local retailer..but here is what it looks like...

I am so glad I'm not alone on this. I hate running too! When I've tried to run, it's not that quit because I'm so winded, but I have to quit because my legs hurt. It is not any fun at all! (Ya know, I've wondered how stupid I look when I do run. I'd hate to have someone videotape me running and play it back. It'd be like hearing your own voice on a recording...I hate that.)

And Ill second those reasons and add:

4#) my bits and bobs refuse to "stop" moving when I do!.........which just tells me theres more of me than I thaught, and "moving" parts on a stationary object aint attractive.
