For all of you doing Freestyle training...

I am quite intrigued by all of you who are doing Freestyle training. I would like to try this method as well and get rid of these huge hips and thighs once and for all! :)

For those of you who incorporate Cathe's workouts into this type of training, how do you do so? I know legs are supposed to be done 4-6 times per week. So do you do part of her tapes and or do you do the whole workout (Leaner Legs or Legs & Glutes for example)?

This pear shape needs help!

Sanchia,

Basically, I try to work hamstrings and glutes one day using all my Cathe DVD's by alternating. Then I do inner thigh work another day, then outer thigh another day. OR, sometimes I will pick up L&G and do just the standing premix or just the ankle weight premix.

I've added non weighted walking lunges on my hamstring and glute days.
For instance, I'll do L&G hamstring tucks (2 times), one legged dead lifts (2 times) then go to ME and do a set of glute lifts and then 200 non weighted walking lunges. This takes me about 20-25 minutes and I'm cooked.

One day I'll pick up the Body Blast Supersets DVD and do the 33 minute premix (legs x 3).

Hi Sanchia
I am doing Freestyle and up until about a month ago I was using all of cathe's lower body workouts with it, but now I only use the Freestyle rotations in the Freestyle Training book......
While I was using Cathe's workouts I did get good results, lost weight.... I love her workouts, I think you would benefit from Freestyle, get the book and read up......... Rhonda :7

Hi Rhonda,

I've got the books "Freestyle Training", "Freestyle Fitness" and "Lower Body Solution". All of them are great books but it always seems harder for me to stick to something when I don't have a tape (or a class) to do it to. That's why I figured I'd try using my leg workout tapes first. If I don't see myself getting any results after a while, then I'll probably go to the books. I just want to make sure I can stick to it first.

I have quite a few "shorter" leg workouts that have exercises similar (if not the same) to the ones in those books. I started the freestyle training this morning and I did "Thin Thighs" twice followed by Walk Away The Pounds Express - 3 Miles. I have to say it was a pretty good workout (and I'm still feeling it now).

Happy lower body shrinking!

Sanchia

I cannot recommend the non weighted walking lunges enough. I'm doing 200 three times a week and they hit every lower body muscle group. You will definitely feel them.:7
