Follow-Up Strength/Endurance Question

Hi Cathe! I'm just finishing up a mostly strength rotation using the Pyramids twice a week each, Bootcamp once a week, and half of Imax1 or 2 twice a week with some power yoga mixed in. I've definitely gained strength and increased my cardio capacity.

For the next 4-8 wks, I plan on doing an endurance rotation with the above DVD's but substituting Muscle Endurance for the Pyramids.

My question is: for overall fitness benefits, particularly in strength and endurance, is it better to do a rotation which emphasizes strength, and then a rotation which emphasizes endurance? Or is it better to mix the two within a particular rotation? Does it even matter?

Can't wait for the Body Blasts!:7

For OVERALL fitness benefits with both strength and endurance gains it is best to do a variety of workouts which promote these benefits. You can change week(s) to week(s)or workout to workout, just be sure to do both types of workouts. Now if you wanted to train SPECIFICALLY for muscular endurance(or strength)then I would stay with that one approach for a longer rotation (4 to 8 weeks).
