Flush the Fat?

Just wanted to clear up some confusion here about the Atkins diet. You actually do eat vegetables. Even in the first phase, called induction. Fruit is not allowed in the first couple weeks because of the sugar. But veggies are essential and required. For more information you can read one of the many Atkins books out there.

It's good to be informed!

As I recall about Atkins, especially during induction, you had to keep carb count at 20g per day which definitely limited veggie intake. On SBD, even on phase I, low glycemic vegetables (a wide variety) are unlimited.

It's my opinion and only my opinion that Atkins is too limiting and when I started adding carbs in, I gained the weight back almost immediately. That did not happen to me on SBD, but everyone is different.
