Hello,
I have not really done floor work for the legs and glutes in the last 15 years. I have had the mindset that compound exercises and plyo work would build more strength and burn more calories, and that the leg lifts incorporated into cardio would suffice.
But I am thinking of adding floor work in for variety and as a catalyst for change. That is changing the shape of the glutes, the glutes and ham tie in area, and a giving a nice sweep to the inner thighs. You know if you want something new, do something you've never done before. So..
My questions are these: Should I stick with the same floor routine for a while to build some base of strength or shape or should I do different routines off and on? And how many times per week should I do this floor work to get some noticeable results?
Does anyone swear by the benefits of floor work? Does it do something for you that standing work doesn't?
Thanks,
Jeanne
