Cathy, do you already know or are you familiar with ballet? Are the workouts difficult for someone who doesn't know ballet and do you need a ballet bar?
Hi, I've studied ballet for a long time but the video workouts can be done by beginners and you don't need a barre. There are exercises called floor barre in which there are a series of floor exercises in which you stretch your hips and leg muscles and strengthen your core. There are also standing traditional ballet exercises that further help to stretch and strengthen your muscles and improve coordination and balance. For some of these exercises, you might want to use a dowel or sculpting stick for balance, at least in the beginning. There are two workouts. I like ballet as supplement as it helps lenghten your muscles.A beginner's adult ballet class is also a great idea.
