flaxseed oil and nausea

Anyone experience a link between these two? I started taking flaxseed oil instead of fish oil last Thursday. I ate exactly the same foods on Wednesday and Thursday, but got terribly sick Thursday night. Even though the throwing up stopped on Friday, I've been awfully nauseous ever since. I guess it could be a stomach flu bug, but I'm wondering if anyone who takes flaxseed oil has ever experienced nausea that they thought were linked.

It sounds to me like the flu. I remember the exact moment the last time I felt the flu coming on. I was eating popcorn when I got this terribly nauseous feeling. I was convinced it was the popcorn and was actually afraid of popcorn for some time afterward. Looking back, I know it was the flu because everyone in the same house as me got sick as well.
But just to be safe, I would get a new bottle of flaxseed oil and when you feel up to it, try it again.

Hey, Lorrie, I haven't any advice for you, but I was wondering if you got my email. I did get yours, BTW. :)

I hope that you feel better soon. Sorry about the nausea, that is never fun. :-(

I concur with the other posts. I believe you have a stomach bug and not as a result of flaxseed oil. I've been taking flaxseed oil for years without any side effects (nor have I read anything regarding this type of side effect).

Thanks all. I'm glad none of you think it's the flaxseed oil. Just a l-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-g-g bug that I really want to go away. Yes Missy, I got your mail and I need to get back to you, as soon as I'm feeling like a real person again. (Sorry) Thanks again!
