Flavor extracts...Peanut butter etc.

Has anyone ever used these for maybe a protein shake or to flavor oatmeal? I am curious about stuff like peanut butter extracts, that I see on the web (because I went looking) and wondering what is in them....as in, I don't want any sugar. I just want some peanut butter flavoring without all the fat (I don't have a problem using a little peanut butter here and there, but it would be nice to beef up the flavor even more). I sent an email to the sales dept of the company selling it and got no response. Anybody know? They have a ton...raspberry, coconut,etc....

Thanks
Jen

I have a chocolate peanut butter flavored syrup from DaVinci. It's not too bad but it does have sugar and 35 cal/Tbls. IMHO, it's overly-sweet. Maybe plain peanut butter flavored syrup is better.

Hmm..peanut butter? I've never seen that type of extract. I have used cocoanut, almond, walnut, chocolat and other extracts to flavor food while reducing fat (like sprinking some walnut extract on grape nuts and adding this to some chopped walnuts in cookies, to reduce the amount of walnuts). Wouldn't "peanut butter" extract just be "peanut" extract? If that's what it is. Isn't there some place on the web site that shows the ingredients?
