Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. Since December/early January was so hectic for me it's especially nice to be at home relaxing and getting things done.

Yesterday was Timesaver #4 and I don't know if it was because I wasn't in the mood for kickboxing or what, but it was just okay on the fun factor. I did get a good workout and the bonus shoulder work was brutal so I felt good about that. I guess I'm just currently enjoying and am feeling more excited about doing step for cardio these days.

Today was Timesaver #5 which felt awesome for the legs! I have my ankle weights a 2 1/2 pounds and I feel it every time. I can't imagine doing it with 5 pounds. I think my limbs would break off. Also had a good ab segment.

I don't know if it was because I was thrown off my usual workout schedule or if I'm coming down with something but all the workouts this week were tough to get through. I just feel so tired! I'm not sure what to do next week, either week 2 of the January rotation or just skip it and go forward to week 3. I'm tempted to pick up with week 3 because I love the PS series for some serious weight work!

Today I'll do laundry, watch some football, read my book (DaVinci Code is awesome reading), nap with my cats, and make a nice lunch for myself. Maybe the reason that I feel rundown is that I ate pretty shabbly for the past week. No time like the present to change that!

Have a good one,

Hello all! I am enjoying a cozy Sunday afternoon, sitting by the fire, folding laundry. Today I did Imax 2 and it was great - I haven't done it in awhile, and it was hard and fun. Tomorrow is PH, then back on track to week 3. Sabine- just skip week 2 and join me for #3! I also am very excited about PS being included in this week - that was my first introduction to Cathe (my sister gave me the set after the birth of my 1st child) and before PS I had never done any real weightlifting. I need something to get excited about in order to keep me going!
I am not doing very well on my goal of losing 5lb....so far I am holding steady. I have found in the past that when I increase the intensity of my workouts on a regular basis, I start eating a lot more for the first week or two. This is definitely the case since I started the Jan. rotation - I have been eating so much! Not too much junk, but just lots and lots. So hopefully my eating will level out this week and I will start seeing the scale budge (or even better, the waist on my jeans getting looser)!

Hope everyone is healthy and enjoying the long weekend.

Hi Sabine and Tracy, you guys look lonely up here.:) I've been in a health slump so I've just been resting mostly -- if you call chasing after a 3-year-old who likes tossing my stability ball around "rest". I miss my workouts and hope I'll be well enough by middle of this week to resume. I'll be checking in when I can.

Later,
Pinky

Hi Everyone,
I took yesterday off.I normally like taking saturdays or sundays off. When I got back from the cabin last night I was just to lazy to do anything and then there was so much stuff that needed to be done.Once again my day is packed full of stuff to do.I have a staff meeting at 3 ,Lord only knows how long that is going to take.
I really got to get that timesaver DVD.I love the terminator dvd so I am sure that I will love that one.I asked for it for christmas but I knew I wasn't going to get it unless I did it myself.
I think I am going to do some cardio today and then do some weights.I am not sure if I will do just upper OR lower or if I will do a total body workout.
Anyway,I hope everyone had a great weekend, now its time for work again;(

Good Morning everyone. Actually, it is past the weekend, but oh well. I took a rest day yesterday. I usually do on Sundays. My first week of the Discovery Health Body Challenge went well, except I stepped on the scale this morning, and it did not budge!!!! I also took my measurements and I lost 1/2" in my bust, 1/2" in my hips, and 1/2" in my waist. The bodyfat measurer also says I lost 3% of bodyfat. So, onward into another week!!!!! I really do love this plan. Today I am starting a Tank Top Rotation. I am going to do the PS series all UB today. I have not done that in so long!!!! I did PP Premix Friday, so this week, I will start with that. Well, have a good day everyone.

Happy Monday everyone,

I decided to start with week 3 of the January rotation so today was IMAX 2. I have to admit that I was approaching this workout with some dread as the last time I did this my knees were not happyx( ! However, I made some minor modifications (if you're interested, see my IMAX 2 post) and made it through all 10 intervals. I was completely soaked with sweat and huffing and puffing and at the same time I felt amazing, like I could do ANYTHING!!! I'm so proud of my effort!

Pinky, have you had a chance to see the doctor regarding the sinus infection? Even if you're having to lay low because of illness, come on in and let us know how you're doing.

Tracy, how did Bootcamp go today?

Brenda, how did your event go this weekend? Would love to hear details.

Congratulations Lorisax on the positive changes in your measurements. I think that using those plus how you feel in your clothes is a better gauge than the scale. I can be fitting very comfortably in my jeans and yet the scale says I've put on a couple of pounds. Go figure! Keep us posted as to your progress on the challenge. What type of workouts are you doing?

With the amazing workouts you've been posting, Lorihart, you deserve a day off! You are one amazing woman!

Hope to hear from you Shywolf, Brenda, and others please feel free to join us!

Hi everyone, got my Zithromax pack finally. I guess I can start working out tomorrow.

Sabine, congratulations on making it through all IMAX 2 intervals. It took me many, many tries to get it right, but until now I still modify the blast of interval 9. Those fast plie jacks are not compatible with my knees. Instead, I do 4 slow plie jacks, squatting low and squeezing hard as I get back up to keep the intensity.

Lorisax, 3% body fat is a lot. Way to go! Don't trust the scale. I never do. I go with how my clothes fit and those numbers on my tape measure.

Lorihart, once I get well, I may need some of your energy to get me through my workouts. I spent the weekend chasing after my toddler, who believes he is Buzz Lightyear. Whew! How can someone so small drain me, who is three times bigger, to no end?:)

I just had a brainstorm while viewing Circuit Max. I don't like the hi/lo portions of this workout, and there are quite a lot. So I jotted down all the weight work. There are about 9 or 10 of them. Since I like IMAX 2 a lot, I'm thinking of doing one IMAX 2 interval then one weight workout from Circuit Max. It will probably take 90 minutes or more (with a few rests) to do this kind of workout. Is this too much? I'm gonna test this as soon as I have the drive.}(

Have a good week, ladies.

Pinky

Hi Ladies,
Sounds like everyone is headed into a great week. This week I am going to try and eat more "healthy" foods.I have had the habit of waiting to long between meals, then I end up picking at food while I am making dinner.I am not putting a limit on the food either,if I want some cheese and crackers then I am going to have them.As long as I am not into the bars and chips:9 I think I filled up on them pretty good last weekend.
I did my workout early today, even though I was quit lazy.I did back, chest and shoulders in CTX.I am going to do tric, and bic tomorrow.I then got ready to do Imax 1 with some runs involved but I got caught up in the running,so I only did 2 intervals BUT a 80 min run.So, I guess I got about a 2hr workout in.
I think all of this running and steping combined is going to do my legs wonders. After each one I can feel how tight my hamstrings are and my pants aren't as tight in the leg area. But I do stretch alot after each workout.
COngrats lorisax on the loss.I try not to pay to much attention to the scale but I do.Sometimes I find that by the time you can tell a difference in your clothes you have to gained or lost 5 lbs.But I don't get on it very often.
Anyhoo....I better get going.I may have a little nap...Im getting kinds lazy and I have to work at 7:30..
Chat to you tomorrow,
Lori:)

Why is it that some days I have loads of time to sit in front of the computer and read posts, and other days I barely have time to turn it on? I had to make some switches to the Jan. rotation I am following so today I did Power Hour, and yesterday I did Imax 2. tomorrow I am going to do a step workout (I think I might try Rhythmic Step again) and then wed and th I am going to do the PS workouts. By the end of the week I should be right back on track.
Congratulations Sabine on completing Imax 2!! Isn't it the best feeling when you know you have pushed yourself to do something beyond your expectations?!
Have to go get the kiddos in the bath and then to bed (aah! my favorite time of day!)
Sleep well and stay healthy.
Tracy
