Good afternoon everyone!

OK- today's it- the day I start getting serious. Pinky I need to check your rotation and see what's going on today. I'm going to try to get in a long workout late this afternoon although every a.m. I wake up and notice my achilles heel. It starts to loosen up and I'm trying to stretch it during the day while I'm running around the house.

I ended up taking the weekend off since things got very busy around here but nutritionally not bad (I'm going to give away all left over holiday treats today, too).

Thanks Brenda for extending the invite to join your check-in here. I am going to be following the Jan. rotation that Cathe posted. I started today with BodyMax, and tomorrow is MIC. (I think she is trying to kill us).

I made it through the holidays without gaining any weight, but I feel like crap - I ate crap, slept like crap - you get the general idea.

Today is a new day, my oldest daughter started school again, my husband is back at work, and things are going to calm down and settle back into their routine!

I haven't ever participated in a check-in, but I think it is just what I need right now to keep me motivated and interested, that plus seeing if I can withstand the torturous rotation that Ms. C devised.

glad to have you here! I feel the exact same way- so tired! I need to get much more sleep and drink much more water. I forget how long it takes to recover from the holidays and having everyone home...
You'll be fine w/the rotation- just take one day at a time and don't think about what the next workout will be:)

Welcome Tracy! So nice to have you join the check in. I, too, am doing the January rotation (at least for this week, I may switch in a week from December). As written, it looks torturous!

So here's what I've done for the past couple of days.

Saturday- Mindy Mylrea's Extreme Intervals. Had a lot of fun with this workout. Even with all the impact I didn't feel it in my knees nearly as much as IMAX 2 earlier in the week.

Sunday- Legs and Glutes. Not sure if I'm totally sold on this workout. The two things I didn't like were the explosive lunges and explosive squats and all the pulse counts for the floor work. I'll have to make some modifications for the lunges/squats and may try to do the same with the count for the pulse count moves. I am feeling it in my legs today, especially when I climb stairs. Whoo Ya!!!

Today- Step it Strong w/ Keli Roberts. Since I don't have Body Max this is a rough equivalent (although not nearly as intense with the aerobic part). She does some tough work with the arms and abs. Felt pretty good. The step intervals are not very creative and the impact is pretty low which actually felt good on my knees.

Brenda- I have no doubt you will look fabulous for your event in two weeks. I got your Christmas card the other day and you have completely neglected to say previously that you are absolutely gorgeous! And all those beautiful children and that handsome husband!!!! Just stunning! Congratulations on your barbell. I, too, couldn't believe how much of a difference it made for some exercises.

Pinky- how's your rotation going? Did you modify to include supersets? I think you'll really like this workout.

Joy- are you back to checking in? How was your holiday and New Year? Look forward to hearing from you.

I can't believe I'm back at work! I should be at home with a cup of coffee right now! School holidays are wonderful because of their length but are tough in that they allow bad habits to form (like sleeping in).

Hi Guys!!!! I love the new name. I have been doing a Look Great in 4 Rotation w/ Angela, or gogigi, and it is fun. We are on week 2. i also have been counting my calories. I have a 12 week calendar all made out in my workout room, I need to drop 10 lbs. in that time. Last week my average was 1890. Higher than I want it, but i8t was a hgoliday weekend, and HARD!!! We went out to dinners 3 times. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Hey all, not a very good time for me right now. My son came home with a fever Friday evening which lasted 'til yesterday. Nasty tummy bug. I'm keeping him home today even though he's fine, which means my workouts for the last two days have been cancelled. Today was supposed to be KPC. I'll pick up on my rotation tomorrow, I hope...

Ack- Pinky, I feel for you... the week my kids were sick I really barely got to work out and had so little sleep. Hope he feels better soon!

I ended up doing Step Blast today and (has anyone had this happen) I felt like I was in someone else's body- I don't mean it was easy, but even the last blast wasn't terrible. I felt like I could have done much more. Weird. We'll see how everything feels tomorrow.

Lori, glad you're back!!

Sabine, you are much too sweet... you made my day! I feel the same way about L & G- the explosive lunges seem to be a little excessive on my joints. All the sudden I feel bulky from doing lower body. I know Cathe has said she goes heavier on upper body and medium on lower- I think I may need to do that. I wish I knew how my body would react to everything but I can't seem to find my perfect combination between weights and cardio.
