Fitnessfreak's December Rotation for 12/5

That's my problem! There is no alarm going off. If I were to set the alarm on a Saturday DH would be greatly less than pleased. Fortunately, my body has a 6:00 wake up button at least within a few minutes one way or the other. And lots of times I'll wake up closer to 5:30, which is what I'm hoping for tomorrow. So it's early to bed for me tonight!
 
I did KPC without the punch. It bothers one elbow and shoulder. I hope that still counts. The pikes gave me a lot of problems. I am really out of practice.:eek: At least I have started back after two years of doing nothing.:eek::eek: I didn't start this rotation on time so I will finish with PS chest, shoulders & triceps since I started week with PS. Plan to join in on Monday.

Today was leg day for me, here's what I did:

Front Squats w/wedge 40# (is there a secret to holding the barbell in front? I have such a time with it, and then noticing Lorraine, I do not know how she gets her arms into that position, it's totally different than Cathe's)

DB Deadlifts 45#

Round2
DB Plie Squats 35#
Leg Press 26#

Round 3
Low Plain Lunges 2x8's (next time I'm going to try 10's, this one is a toughie, but I think I can do it, this rotation is really pushing me!)

Leg Press w/Ankle Weights 15# DB and 3# AW (I realized 3/4 of the way thru that my step was higher than Cathe's, maybe that's why I got really winded....)

Round 4
Step Outs w/heavy Band

Squats 50#

Calves from 4DS, 35lb for weighted ones

Legs/Glutes Floorwork, I normally do with 2lb ankle weights, I really felt a difference with 3 lbs

Cathy-how mad would DH be if the PHONE RANG??? LOL I can certainly call you when I get out of bed! ;) You know.....I'll just wait till you pick up and then hang up, and you can just tell sleepy DH that it was a wrong number or a crank call! Where there's a will, there's a WAY! :)

I did cardio yesterday and legs today.

I just had the BEST lower body workout! Feeling very strong today and I took full advantage of it! Of course I'm sure I will regret it tomorrow but oh well, my glutes are my "problem" area and I need it!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEGS
Round 1
Squats (warmup): 40# - lots of reps and different counts

Front Squats w/wedge: 50# - 2 sets/12 reps

Dumbbell Deadlifts: 25's - 2 sets/different reps and counts

Round 2
Dumbbell Plie Squats: 30# - 2 sets/16 reps

Leg Press: 20's - 1 set/12 reps, 25's 2 set/12 reps
*I add an extra riser due to my heigth

**Added another set of squats using 50# following reps/count in warm up

Round 3
Low Plain Lunges: 12's - 1 set/10 reps, 15's 2 set/10, 15's 3 set/10

**Added another set of squats using 50# following rep/count in warm up

Leg Press w/Ankle Weights: 15# DB & 5# AW - 1 sets/12 reps, 20# for 2nd set
*I add an extra riser due to my heigth


Round 4
Step Outs w/Medium Band

Firewalkers ***I felt these!!!!!!!!!!!


Squats: 50# - tons of reps w/different counts

I don't have Legs and Glutes so I did B & G.
Butts and Guts Floor Work

Outer Thigh Raises
Hamstring Roll-Ins
Hamstring Raises w/5lb AW on topper
Glute Squeezes on ball

4DS Calf Work
15# db for weighted section

Oh, man I don't even want to go there at all! LOL I'll just tell myself to wake up early and it almost always works.

My HRM is a Polar F6 it is not the newest model. I believe I purchased it 2yrs ago. I bouth at Dicks Sporting Goods. Hope that helps. Have a good evening.
 
Wow, my legs are feeling yesterday's workout as the day has progressed, and I didn't even work as hard as most of you, since I didn't have L&G.

I had been looking forward to doing KPC all day, and then wouldn't you know, when I got home an old Kickbox video I had ordered had arrived, and I just cannot resist a new workout. Especially a KB one. About 10 minutes into the workout, I regretted my decision and would have loved to switch to KPC. However, the video I was working out to was VHS, and I would have had to stop and hook the DVD player back up. I need to get both hooked up so I can easily swap. The workout was actually an advanced one, and was pretty good, but the instructor was soo annoying. His voice was just driving me me crazy. I'm looking forward to getting back to Cathe tomorrow :)
 
Trish - I have the Polar F11 and absolutely love it. One note - no matter what you choose, be sure to wash the strap after each use! Mine came with instructions to rinse it - well, you have to wash with soap and water after each use. Apparently they changed the instructions after mine was made. I got it to working again, thankfully, but a lot of people have had to replace theirs.

Today was CC#5 for me. I'm going to do abs tomorrow.
