F Fitnessfreak366 Cathlete Apr 4, 2008 #2 Depends. If you are doing traditional deadlifts (google these and see what I mean) then you are working your low back more then your legs. If you do Stiff Legged Deads you are working your hamstrings primarily and then your low back.
