Fit TV Rotation

Hi,

I will be finishing a 6-week rotation that I got help from this board preparing and it was great. I've been using the shows provided by Cathe on FitTV. This is what I've been working on for the last 6 weeks:

Mon: Full Body Weight Workout (rotated using push pull, supersets, power hour or muscle endurance) for 1 hour
Tues: Steady State cardio (rotated using Rhythmic Steps or Kick, Punch & Crunch) for 1 hour
Wed: Monday's routine again
Thurs: Interval Cardio (rotated using Low Max, or Imax 2) for 1 hour
Fri: Monday's routine again
Sat: Tues. routine again
Sun: Rest or Stretch

I was wondering what would be a good alternative next. These are the things that I have taped so far that I can make a rotation from:

Total Body Weight Workouts
Push Pull, Supersets, Power Hour & Muscle Endurance

Upper Body WOrkouts
Core Max, Slow & Heavy Chest & Back, SH Biceps & Triceps, SH Shoulders

Lower Body Workouts
SH Legs, Pyramid Lower body, Legs & Glutes

Step Cardio
Rhythmic Step

Other Cardio
Kick Punch & Crunch

Circuit Workouts
Cardio and Weights, Step Jump & Pump, Bootcamp

Interval Cardio
Low Max, IMAX 2

My goal is to build muscle and loose weight. I feel great and I would love to continue using what I have to make rotations and continue on with my fitness cycle -- unfortunately it's not in the budget to purchase DVD's -- so I'm doing the next best thing and taping whatever shows Cathe has provided for FIT TV. Thanks for any help you can give me. I look forward to a great year of fitness.

Hi Renee. Cathe's best workouts for building muscle are Slow & Heavy. All the others are endurance based. Here's what you might try. I alternated one week with Slow & Heavy and one week with 2 circuits and a total body:

Week One:

Mon: S&H - Chest & Back
Tues: IMAX 2
Wed: S&H Triceps & Biceps
Thurs: Rhythmic Step
Fri: S&H Legs & Shoulders
Sat: KPC
Sun: Rest

Week Two:

Mon: Boot Camp
Tues: Low Max
Wed: SJP
Thurs: IMAX 2
Fri: Supersets
Sat: Rhythmic Step
Sun: Rest

Repeat weeks 1 and 2. I would try and tape Pyramid Upper Body so you could have a week with a 2 day split.

Maybe something like:

Tues: Pyramid Upper Body
Wed: Pyramid Lower Body
Thurs: KPC
Fri: Cardio & Weights
Sat: Low Max or Rhythmic Step
Sun: Rest
