Fit for T-Day Monday

Yuck! Mondays are so unmotivating. At least its a short week this week as I have off thursday and friday. This morning I did CC#8 on the elliptical. I didn't fee like doing my circuit and suprisingly i wanted to do CC. It was a KILLER! I really enjoyed it. I think i'm going to try to get into CC a bit more since they seem sooooo effective. Well off to walk the dog and then to work. Hope you ladies have a good monday. 4 more days till T-Day!

Great job kariev!!! This am I woke up and instead of watching the news i did a 35 min premix of step blast which is all i had time for but . . . the news of cathe is better ;)

Kariev- CC great job!! How was cirque?

Now we have to focus on eating somewhat healthfully or watching portions for Tday so we can be fit for xmas right???? Would you guys continue this on for xmas too ?? I want to think it will help :)

Hello All!
I'm back from DC, and don't seem to have gained any weight, but have not exercised since 11/17. Scary. I want to jump into a rotation, but haven't picked one yet, and then it will be December, and I'll want to do the December one. How can you guys stand to read such whining?!?! I commit to all of you that I will do one of the 4DS tonight. I bought it last month, and haven't used it yet. I am glad to read that everyone has been doing well, Kariev, you are so solid, WTG! Eriniski, strong work choosing to work out instead of watch the news. I would've thought "Oh well, 35 minutes isn't enough..." Now I have to go buy a turkey, hopefully there are still some left, and clean my house for my mother and aunt coming tomorrow. And workout ;)
Have a great evening,
Lisa

erinski: The cirque was awsome! the physiques that the performers have are outstanding. Great job on your 35 min workout. Like sugarbean said, i would have skipped it thinking it wasn't enough time. way to go!!! i would love to continue this till xmas. with so many holidays, we can set new goals each month.

sugarbean: welcome back and congrats on not gaining weight. your body probably enjoyed the down time so now its time to get back on track. Let us know how you like the 4DS.

I wanted you guys' opinion. I'm happy with the amount of muscle i have and wish to not build any more. so my new routine will be cardio coach on monday, wednesday, and friday (possibly sub CC on wednesday with kickbox) and then i'm torn between tuesday and thrusday weight training. I was thinking of doing one intense upper body workout on tuesday and an intense lower body on thursday (one of cathes workouts of course). do you think if i'm really challenging myself, this is enough to maintain my muscle? or do you think i should do 2 full body workouts instead? i would think that if i'm really focused on the upper/lower ones it should be enough as many people only work each body part one time per week. let me know what you think. my eating has been great but boy are the t-day cravings kicking in. my goal for t-day is not to binge out and overeat. i want a little of everything and thats it.

ah man!!! I posted (or started to) before I left work today here and I just realized that I got interrupted and didn't hit POST!!! WAAAAAAA!!!

oh well... it wan't a masterpiece or anything, but still a bummer!

Kariev: good job on the CC!!! I haven't gotten into CC yet, as I don't like all the chatter, but I do know that a lot of people here do enjoy it! My DH makes it pretty difficult these days to get on the TM so I will just stick to other forms of cardio for now... As for your rotation question, I would have to say that according to some of the others out there (VEE-Vrinda to name one) who are "in the know" said that working one body part once a week will work but you must work to failure is what they said, and this should be enough to maintain and even gain in muscle growth and strength... Apparently they equate the total number of reps in a focused one body part workout to be the equivilent of several full body workouts, therefore, should be the same or better... I hope that made sense... then with cardio on alternating days your week sounds like a good one... It will be interesting to see what others post in your OD thread :) Personally I need to work lower body more (due to my body type, but also because working larger muscle groups like legs help to burn more calories and boost the metabolism) so I think that I would do 2 LB workouts and only 1 UB workout with cardio in between... Might add something like chest or tri's to a LB workout since you would probably concentrate more on back, shoulders & bicepts on an UB workout... I'll keep an eye on that thread and see what others say! :)

LISA!!! welcome back girl! I had forgotten that you were gone so was wondering what happened to ya! Hope you had a good time in DC, and that is GREAT that you maintained your weight... I'll bet you didn't lose as much of your fitness level as you think... they always say that muscle has memory and if you jump back into it (not balls to the wall for the first day or so until you bet back into it hard) that you will be back to the level you were before you left! If you are looking for a short rotation, check out week 4 of the November Cathe Rotation under Video & Rotation suggestions... and join us! there are a few of us that have done the whole November rotation so far together! it's called CATHE'S NOVEMBER ROTATION WEEK 4 (now)! it looks like a good one with a lot of circuit/whole body workouts this week... Then see what Cathe suggests for December as I can only assume that it will be a precurser to STS!

Eriniski: I would LOVE to continue a checkin for Christmas too! and I agree, I think we should focus more on the eating part, as with all the Holiday parties, gatherings, goodies, etc, it is SO hard to not say "oh to he!! with it" and stuff your face as well as the Turkey! and while I have not fully committed to eating "clean", I have already been working really hard to watch what I eat (and NO not watch it from my plate to my mouth! HA!!!) So have tried to eliminate starchy/fried things and limited my bread and pasta... I got on the scale this morning and am down a total of 10 pounds in the last 3 months, since I started working out with Cathe... not phenominal results, but steady and makes me feel like if I could/would just focus on my eating, that I would have so much better results! I have vowed to start eating cleaner or at least healthier when I start STS, mostly because it will be after the Holiday before it is delivered and I start it!

anyway, sorry for the novel... guess I'm just chatty tonite!!!

have a great evening and check in tomorrow! 4 days and counting!!!
