fish oil supplements

Winter

Hi All!

I have read a few fitness articles lately and they have mentioned this suppliment in one way or the other. Take it - a must is what I got out of it?

If anyone out there takes this do you notice a difference in anything with your body or is it just a piece of mind that it is good for the heart and brain?

Thanks,
Winter

I take them as well. Sometimes I think my skin and hair have more sheen (oil) because of it, but then again it could be any number of other things. I mostly take it because it's supposed to be so good at preventing all these various things. Who knows.....

Hi Wendy,

I take a supplement called EFA that I get at GNC. I have noticed that my skin looks better when I take them.

My doc has me taking them because of elevated cholesterol. No info yet on effectiveness - my most recent blood test will be back on Friday. Crossing my fingers!

My hair does seem to have more shine.... or maybe it's in my mind!

My husband and I have been taking them for the past 3 months and he swears it has cured his mild arthritis. I've heard so many positives about taking them so I figured we should do so on a daily basis. I haven't had any blood tests lately, but I'd be curious to see if there are any changes.

omega 3 fatty acids (like what is in smart balance spreads and oils) is the major ingredient of fish oil. It is a good fat, one that our body doesn't make on its own. If you don't have enough in your diet already, it couldn't hurt.

I've been taking them for quite a while now and have noticed that my skin isn't as dry (especially in the winter) and my hands don't break out from contact dermatitis as bad.
