First vacation in 3 yrs...

Woohoo.
I am headed to the mountains and can not wait. I know this might not seem like a vacation to some but DH and I are headed to a nice little cabin in the middle of the woods. Just 4 days and 3 nights but I just am bursting with excitement.
Luckily I am on my recovery week so I am not screwing up STS
Wish me luck on staying on a pretty clean diet...At least I am in control of the food but DH is a snacker so I have to restrain myself from his junk
He had kitkats and oatmeal cream pies on his list but instead of buying a big box I might be tempted by, I am making him get that from a convenience store so he does not have a big box lying around.

Rachel, that sounds like a wonderful vacation actually! DH and I were just planning a mini-one ~ all it involves is shipping the kids off to Grandma's for 3 or 4 days. We're not even going anywhere.

I am so jealous !!! We take a vacation every year, but it is not in our budget as of yet. We too love the mountains...NO beaches for me. Climb a mountain for me, be safe...and most importantly...HAVE FUN!

What a great way to spend your recovery week! It's like a little gift to yourself! DH and I do those kind of trips and I truly appreciate that time away!
