Firm Barbell, new Quick Release Collars

Has anyone used the new Cathe Quick release collars to replace the collars on an old Firm barbell? Are they secure?

Hi Lannette, while I don't have the Firm bar, I do have a 1" bar, and YES!, these collars work great! Really takes the annoyance out of changing plates during workouts. I bought 2 sets so I could quickly add or subtract a plate like I did with the ol'squeeze clamps, but these quick release things are so easy to use it wasn't necessary to have 2 sets.

Thanks Debinmi. The metal ends on both of my Firm barbells measures an inch. (The center is padded.) The original collars are easy on and off but they are not as “easy” as they once were.

I don’t believe the ends are long enough to use two sets of the Cathe collars.
