Anyone see this movie?
I saw it this weekend - it was incredible. My beau and I are trying to work things out. a lot of hurt, pain, but after 12 years want to try hard before walking away and we are both finally ready.

we have decided to do the Love Dare, today was day one.

My DH and I just watched this DVD last week. We have seen all the Sherwood movies (Kendrick brothers movies). This was more of a chick-flick type, so I enjoyed it more than he did, but still great!

Best of luck to you in the Love Dare!!! Kudos to you for really trying to work on your relationship!

I bought the video and watched it with my husband and 13 year old daughter. We all enjoyed the movie. My hubby and I have been married for 26 years, and watching the movie together certainly made me more aware of how much you take for granted after being together for soo long. The study sounds great too. Good luck to you and you beau :)

My hubby and I saw Fireproof too and we both loved it!! My hubby said it was the best movie he had ever seen - ever!! And I have to agree! We bought a copy, we loved it so much! It really had such a positive message of redemption while being completely realistic about what marriages can go through. Good for you for starting the Love Dare!!

If you liked that movie, you should check out "Facing the Giants", it's by the same producers/writers. That was another great, positive movie. :)

Our church also did a marriage class based from the movie. Great way to reconnect withyour mate.
Best of luck & hats off for giving it your all!

My husband and I just rented and saw this movie. ABSOLUTELY great. Great message and really makes you remember that your marriage truly is a gift. I highly recommend it.

yep, great movies, have ya'll senn the first one they did, fly wheel? it is good too. did ya'll know that a church, i think in ga., made these movies to get the message of Christ out. it is really cool. cuz, the first one was done on a $20,000 budget. met a lady last year that was from the church that made them. they are great movies.

Loved the movie-great message! Though I did think the acting for the first 20 minutes or so was somewhat "off" but then it got a lot better.

I have always loved Kirk Cameron :)

Yes, the movies are made by a church in GA.

I watched it with my 15 year old, I really enjoyed it. My mom bought the Love Dare book.

Kudos to you for diving in. You owe it to yourselves, and your marriage. :D

I have been wanting to see this, thanks for posting - I will rent/buy and watch with the family. We will be celebrating our 23 anniversary in November! I'm still crazy about the guy...although how he has put up with me for so long - is pretty amazing! lol.:D

I watched this with my DH last week, too, and I really liked it. I thought it was corny at first--like a made-for-tv-movie--but then it got better.
One thing DH and I noticed, though, is how we Southerners really sound compared to the rest of the country!! At the beginning of the movie, I told him I thought the Southern accents were fake, but then I realized that's how many of us talk here in the deep South!
It was great to see a movie with such a positive message. I also have always liked Kirk Cameron. Is the wife in the movie his wife in real life? Someone told me that she is.

Hi Valerie!
No, the actress in the movie is not his wife in real life. He is married to actress, Chelsea Noble. I read somewhere (or maybe saw it in the out-takes on the DVD) that he wouldn't kiss another woman so in the scene where they were kissing, it's his real life wife who stepped in!

ETA: I just found the link: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26851749/

I love this movie so much, can't say enough good things about it!

With such a happy positive thread - I am confused why a reader of this thread would ding the thread in the rating system - ---????

I agree!

I thought it was pretty cool that his wife stood in for the kissing scene:)
