Finally Met another Catheite!!!!

I knew it was just a matter of time before I met a Catheite face to face and it happened after I taught 2 classes this morning!!!

A lovely young woman approached me (Hey Laura-Kate!!) and was kind enough to compliment my instructing (Thanks!) and then asked me if I ever did Cathe Friedrich workouts as I said a few things in class that reminded her of Cathe (I am inspired by the BEST!!!). We got very excited to have found another fan of Cathe in little old Kingston, Ontario!!!! I can't wait to meet Laura again and chat more about Cathe and the upcoming HardCore Series.

It's wonderful to get to know others here on the boards and meeting another 'board member' face to face was more exciting than I would have anticipated. Have a great week-end EVERYONE!!!!

I forgot to mention that I met another VFer! (videofitness.com).

We were talking on the same thread (over at videofitness) and realized we only live about 30 minutes from each other, and also went to the same high school. Then we realized that she dated one of my best friends brothers!

So we eventually met and we meet for lunch/dinner sometimes. She will also be coming to my wedding!!!

Man, I don't know any other Catheites in "real life":p :p. It seems so silly, but I would love to meet one. Nobody I know, even those who work out at home have ever heard of her and those who do work out to videos are more the Leslie Sansone/pilates types (not that there is anything wrong with that--it's just they are not interested in weight training and more intense cardio.)

Still, I can dream....

Well paint me pink & call me cotton candy, my name's Laura Kate too but I'm pretty sure I'm not the one you met. I think I'd remember that.:p

So do the rest of you guys try to turn your friends on to Cathe's videos? I lend mine out all the time only to get them back a few days later with some kind of "what, are you crazy?" reaction. Guess they're just not the right thing for beginners huh.;)
 
I've lent my home-exercising-friends videos over the years, but never my Cathe's. I prefer not to have them leave my house, how weird is that? (I think when the day comes, I'll probably ask to be buried with all my Cathe DVDs!!).

Dani, that's wonderful that you caught up with an old school mate on-line and that you've really connected, this thread has got me thinking about the movie 'Six Degrees of Separation':)

I've never met anyone named Laura Kate and now I 'meet' two in the same weekend, what's up with that?!?:7

Our chances of meeting other Catheites face to face are probably increasing, she's reaching more and more people all of the time and her appeal is undeniable. I love that I can chat about Cathe here, I get a lot of blank stares when people ask me how I stay in shape and I tell them about Cathe. I try to spread the good word but I don't loan out Cathe tapes either. I guess that's why I'm so happy and excited to have met one of 'us':)
