finally got my barbell!

I am so excited! My b-day was yesterday and I had been hinting (flat out saying) that I want a barbell for my b-day. My husband brought it in with my 4-year-old son yesterday morning first thing. My son opened out his arms and said "Mommy, here is your beautiful Cathe bell." Too cute. I cannot wait to use it tonight. I just have to practice taking the weight on and off of it, b/c i am finding it is not as easy as it looks. So excited! Now I feel like a real member of the crew.

I love getting new workout equipment -- enjoy! Oh, and there are a lot of different collars out there to make the weight changes quicker and easier if you find you don't like the ones you have. I gave up on the spring collars that came with my Troy Lite bar in favor of quick release ones I found for $10 at Big 5.

Well, Happy Birthday! Congrats on your birthday present! I'm jealous! I have a bent bar that I use, but I need a better straight bar! I need so much, actually, but my birthday isn't until October!
