None of the figure/bodybuilding people I know are using any kind of drugs at all. One bodybuilder found out she can't compete in one contest because she has used ephedra. Long before she started bodybuilding....

It's REALLY pervasive, though. I found out over at the FigureAthlete.com message boards when I posted my anti-steroid attitude and got an earful (or would that be "eyeful?")

I can't attribute my physical change over the past 18 months to any one event. I really couldn't tell you why I finally got off my butt... I just did one thing (TheFirm), which led to another (Cathe/Cardio Coach), then another (Addressing my diet/Precision Nutrition). And now, I want MORE.

Stacey, I love all of your posts... this one the most. I am so excited for you.

Your quote is full of wisdom. In my work I see people who're wanting to make changes - but what always stops them is thinking that there's one big thing... when in truth it's just a lot of 'little' things that gain momentum and traction and move you forward, step by step.

I believe when you weren't where you are now, you were creating this wonderful future - and the past will add more fervor and joy to all that comes to you now. The past is never wasted - what comes next for you is going to bigger and brighter because of it.

Actually I think most competitions have age brackets, so there is most definitely no age limit & you'd have an amazing shot!

I've considered it myself, but two things have stopped me:

1) I don't think I could put on 3 square inches of material, oil up my body & walk out onto a stage in front of 50-100 people
2) Diet

I say if you have the courage go for it--I'll be rooting for you!
