Fighting afternoon fatigue?

Anyone have any tips for fighting afternoon exhaustion? I get so tired between 3 and 4 but have to keep working! Any suggestions for a pick me up?
 
In the past few days I started juicing. I usually make some juice in the mid afternoon, mostly because I just can't face cleaning the juicer earlier in the day. I have to say I am at my most energetic the couple of hours following making my juice. I am thinking of moving it to earlier in the day...if not for the juicer.
 
Make sure you're eating protein and carbs at breakfast and lunch, and drink lots of water during the day! It's what you do in the first half of the day that dictates how you feel by late afternoon.

i drink Click Expresso Protein Drink
in 2 scoops
120 cal,-1% cholesterol,12g carbs,7 grams sugar,15 grams protein
the first 3 ingredients are:calcium caseinate(protein),instant expresso coffee,high fructose corn syrup which doesnt have much especially since i dont use 2 scoops. nothing else gives me energy.tons of vitamins.best with milk

Coffee or green tea works for me... :eek:

Get up, stretch, deep breathe and move around if you can.

Hi everyone, this tiredness is a pain I think it has something to do with insufficient exercise and diet.
Have looked at several exercise & work out DVD's and they look really good, huge respect for people with this committment, I am still looking at different programs to get stuck into with hubby, no decision yet but fingers crossed. A big thank you for all the tips I have found so far.
 
I think a snack helps. I have the same problem and I have hot chocolate (skim milk, cocoa powder, sweetener) which seems to help. I have been trying to cram more calcium in my diet, so that's why I chose that, but I think any healthy snack would do.

The juicing sounds awfully good too! I need to get a better blender and try that out!
