Ferning Question...

Hi Mommies and Mommies-to-be,

I am always checking all of your posts and I am thankful for all your fitness and workout advice for when I become a mom...

Anyway, I have a question - I recently bought a saliva tester and I have started to fern...earlier than I thought I "should" be. Has anyone had success with these devices? My husband and I have been really trying for three months and this is the first month for using the saliva tester. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Cool!! Jennifit, than you for asking this question! I also just bought the Maybe Baby test, but haven't yet come to the ferning stage. Lots of dots on mine, so far. But I'm glad you asked this because I have never heard anyone talk about these tests, and am wondering how reliable it is. It seems too easy, really, and the test wasn't that expensive when compared to the pee-on-a-stick methods that only offer you 5 tests, and then make you buy more sticks if you need to keep on trying. After I've had our next child, I like the idea that I can keep tabs on my cycle with this little device.

Sorry I don't have an answer to your questions. Maybe the reason you have not been successful for the first three months is because you have indeed been ovulating earlier than you thought, and you've been missing your opportunity? Sounds like this might have been a good buy for you.

Best of luck!
Sandra

Hi Sandra!

It is really cool to see the ferning (I think my husband is sick of seeing them!?) hahaha And, I agree about the pee-sticks - I spent about $60 in one month - that's 1 1/2 Cathe DVDs!!!!!

Have you let your slide dry completely? I know that I wasn't waiting long enough and it didn't work. Make sure it is totally dry.

I am hoping for good news!

I tried replying before but I don't think the post went through.

I have seen a lot of talk on www.fertilityfriend.com about these. I didn't pay attention though to what was said. Register, then go to circles and post the question. I promise you'll get responces. Also you can chart your cycles there for free, which is a huge help.

Good luck!
