Hello!
Patricia from Toronto here. Just wanted my fellow Canucks to know I found a great store for fitness equipment. It's a chain store called "The Fitness Source". Here in Toronto, there's one a few blocks north of the Eglington subway at Yonge and Glencairne.
As soon as I walked in the store I KNEW I was in heaven! There were (gasp!) 6, 7, and 9-lb neophrene dumbbells which are usually impossible to find. Assorted barbbells, inexpensive stability balls (I bought a 55 cm one for $17.99 to replace the expensive Bally ball I'd previously purchased which was way too small), assorted medicine balls, push-up handlebars, barbbell plates that are plastic covered like the ones Cathe uses in the Intensity Series, weighted vests, etc. No running shoes, though. But still, a great store!
I get so sick and tired of going into "Sports" stores like Athlete's World, Sports Authority, and SportChek, and finding only racks and racks of namebrand clothes (Nike, Reebok, etc.), and hats and crap like that. As far as I'm concerned, they should PAY me to wear their logo emblazoned togs. I despise logos! Howsa 'bout you?
Patricia
