Feelin' Fat Friday - Need to check-in

Okay I ate lousy this week. I ate lousy last week too. I have gained about 7 lbs since June. What is going on? I realized something this week - if I am busy at work or if I am content at home, I am fine. But when boredom or stress strikes - bring on the binge food. Anyhoo, I wanted to either, A.) join Lori's Tank Top Arms rotation check in (2 wks. late), or B.) start a check-in of my own. Even if I don't clean up my eating, at least I know I have to tell the Cathe world how my week went and maybe catch some patterns or triggers. I didn't purge this week or last (which is an improvement), however, this makes me feel bigger. Alright, enough whining. Thanks for listening.
 
Here I go again......please get a copy of Dr Shapiro's Picture Perfect Weight Loss. He gives examples of acceptable binges, like a chocolate binge, a bread binge, etc. This book is so wonderful, I urge you to get a copy. You can eat a lot, and still manage your weight.

You HAVE to keep track of what you eat, if only temporarily, just to get a handle on your patterns. Then it helps to continue it to keep control.

You know why you're gaining weight...you are simply eating too much of the wrong foods. Maybe it would help to get rid of all the trigger foods in your house, and stock up with only the stuff you know will benefit you.

You CAN do it, this coming from a real sugar addict!
 
Jilly, you say "I didn't purge this week or last," this is a major accomplishment. Never mind the weight gain. Work out, and as Honeybunch said, track your eating. Bring good foods home & eat them. Get the purging under control -- 2 weeks! You're on your way! And the weight will come back off. Don't worry about the scale--throw it away. Yeah, I'm one to talk, can't go into the physicians offices (you may know I work in a hospital) at work without stepping on one! Just do it! It's how you look & feel in your clothes that matters!

Join Lori's Tank Top rotation--I'm there! So what if you're 2 weeks late--there are others on the board that started a month ago. We're having fun checking in. 2 weeks into this rotation I'm seeing definition I didn't before (even if it's my imagination!).

And know that those of us in your Cathe world do know where you are (been there, done that!). We're here for you.

Whoa! Do you mean "purge" as in throw up your food?? This should not be taken lightly AT ALL! Are you seeking counseling for this? The support of this board may be helpful, but if you are bingeing and purging, please seek medical/psychological help...
If I am off target or missed a recent thread about this, please forgive me.
