Fantastic Four was my first Christi Taylor video. She takes some getting used to as her choreography is somewhat complex. Once you get the steps you'll find she's quite addicting. I must do Step Heaven or Still Steppin' at least once or twice a month. I'm not a big fan of Hi/Lo so the other two go unused. What I like so much about her is that her music and choreography go together really well. She picks a lot of her music from the 70's and 80's (I'm dating myself but it's stuff I find myself singing along with!).
As far as dated, Step Heaven doesn't seem to be but the set of Still Steppin' has that quality to it. However it doesn't take away from the fun of it all. One thing she doesn't have on this DVD that she does on others is the 'move master' tutorial section. Those new to her style will need to stop and rewind a few times the first couple times but it really isn't too hard. In my opinion her cuing is the best there is. Once you learn her style, you'll follow along easily. I had to stop and rewind with Cathe a lot before I learned her style too. I guess it's no different!
All in all I think Fantasic Four is good value for the money. Even though I only do two of the four workouts on it regularly I've more than gotten my money's worth out of them. Christi Taylor is what I usually reach for on those day's when I get up and don't feel too motivated to workout. Intensity wise, she's not quite as tough as Cathe but it's not wimpy either.
Well I didn't intend to write such a long note! I promise you I don't work for Christi, I'm just a big fan! By the way, she is filming another DVD in November. Not much details right now, but I think it's described as 'Dance Intervals', whatever that means.
