Fatloss Check In April 2013

Today I did a walk/run, I have some DOMS from yesterday's supercuts. I think I'll do burn sets chest, shoulders, back tomorrow. Tonight for dinner I made a lemon pepper wild caught salmon. It was the first time I liked the wild variety. I usually prefer the texture of the farm raised stuff but wild is supposed to be a better choice. I'm not sure why/how though. I can remember the broad strokes but sometimes the details escape me.

Shereta I'm glad you're enjoying MFP, immediate weight loss, how awesome is that?

Tina how excited are you? 2 days away right? Yes, one hour of news should be plenty.

Today was HSC and MM. I figured I go out with a bang. I can feel the start of DOMS in the upper glute area, just what I was hoping for during tomorrows long journey. I'll check in a few times, let you know what sort of cuisine we're feasting on. We're going to track our walking miles and I am bringing an exercise band, because I know by Tuesday I'll be having workout withdrawls.

Shereta you're on fire! I need some of your motivation.

No workout for me today, just didn't fit it in. Had a stressful day and drowned my sorrows in brownies tonight.

How you doing Candice? I hope the procedure went well with no complications.

OMG. thanks, ladies. I feel good today. Rest day. Halleluah!!!!!! I lost another pound. That's 4.4 for the week since I offically weigh in every friday. This program makes so much sense to me. I can play around with the calories, fats, carbs and proteins.

Cathe's workouts are literally killing me. I don't have time for the full versions, so premixes are my friends right now. LowIimpactTrng is gruelling on the legs. that premix was so tough for me, I almost didnt finish the Upper body part that starts about 22 minutes in.

Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. DH wants us to do that half that I missed last sept when my mom had open heart. If I do I've got to start running monday. we'll see
 
Shereta you're rocking the weight loss, congrats!!! You need to reward yourself :) so are you going to do a half?

Today I did burn sets Chest, shoulder, back. I've had my baking cap on the last few days, corresponding w TTOTM. I will clean things up tomorrow :)

We walked 10 miles today, some was speed walking, some was crowd walking. We ate at the Sci Fi Drive-in, which zeros out the walking we did. I broke out the exercise band for a short 10 min upper body work. DD wants to run in the morning, so I'll try and join her. I'm skipping MFP this week, I wouldn't even want to know the calorie counts. I am trying to stay vegetarian for most meals. The weather here is sooo beautiful!
 
Hi ladies! Hard strikes, cardio only for me today. I have serious UB DOMS from yesterday's workout so I felt every punch. I was eating on schedule until after dinner when cookies appeared out of nowhere. I hope you're all doing well :)
 
Hey, Yall. No workout today. Got to bed too late last night. TTOTM got me and I over indulged after my normal eating time. But, I know what to do to get back on plan. And so I shall.

Thanks Sue. I think I will. I need to - for my own self. But, I hate giving up my Cathe regiment. On the 1/2 plan, I'll only be able to do a weighted Cathe workout once and week and everything else will be running or yoga/stretching. I'll make my plan tonight.

Tina, Im sure the dive in was worth every bit of that walking.

Sue, I'm glad you like Hard strikes. I still prefer 4DS kickbox for a shorter boxing workout.

My last few workouts were - Saturday Low impact circiut on the 8in step. I was so proud of myself. I felt so strong. and yesterday I did 4DS kickbox and drills premix. Fun, fun fun. and tiring as well. again I was able to use the 8in step vice the 6in. Im so glad I'm getting stronger.
 
HI GIRLS!! I missed you all!

I am *SO SORRY* I have been AWOL. Last week and the week before were so dang tough for me, I was sick and had the tooth infection and the ruptured wisdom and then surgery...and I just didn't want to push myself too hard by working out and then really getting lapsed up, so I just rested. I wish it hadn't been two full weeks but OH WELL. I made a conscious decision to do it so I'm OK w/ it. :)

That said, today I got back on the bandwagon! HOORAY!

I did Low Impact Step and I am feeling the effects of no w/o's for 2 weeks b/c I could not even finish it. Plus my feet were going numb and it was making the w/o very uncomfortable. Also, I had not eaten..I Know, excuses excuses! But I am proud of myself for doing something. I also tracked everything I ate which is good. I ate a small breakfast and then had a breakfast burrito for a snack so I skipped lunch (iced green tea only w/o sweetner or anything) and then had half a donut (oops!) and then dinner was scrambled eggs with some milk mixed in and also about 3/4 c. applesauce. Not the healthies day but I believe my cals were low. I'm happy :) Back to making a lot of progress...

Shereta, your success w/ MFP really is motivating! Congrats on the pounds lost!

Also, thank you guys for your kind words about my recovery! It really means a lot!
 
Hey, Candace, glad you're back. Thanks. I needed that progress cause TTOM is here and Im staying off scale til Friday.

Today, I did AOLIH premix. It was fun and tough. I'll try Hardstrikes tmorrow if not the treadmill. I still haven't made my half plan yet.
 
Hi ladies! Yesterday I did turbo barre, lower body premix. today I took a slow walk on the treadmill. I have DOMS everywhere, lower body from yesterday and upper body from Saturday (burn sets ch/sh/ba). I'm trying to blend up a plyo legs mix from STS M3, cardio leg blast and Tabatacize recoveries, roughly 45 minutes. It's almost all step, I let a bunny hop slip in because they're so darn fun :). Progress is stuck at 10% so I'll leave it running overnight and hopefully I'll have a new workout for tomorrow.

Candice, good for you getting back on that horse! Getting healthy is a marathon not a sprint so congratulate yourself on any forward progress!

No hardstrikes today. I had to get on the dreadmill and get my half training going. I ran/walked 2 miles in my new shoes. Yes, Im wearing flats right now. lol. It wiill get better, i no. My half is in sept.

Im doing my plan differently this time. I'm only working out 5 days a week with two days of rest. so that will be 4 days of running and one day of weights. on the running days, I might add something else in like a short boxing, yoga or step workout to stay connected to Cathe level fitness.

Yea, Sue love those bunny hops.
 
hey ladies :) I never got a workout in yesterday, today I did burn set bis tris. I've paid for my recent laziness by having to drop pounds on almost all of the exercises. bummer :(

Shereta will you break up you 2 rest day or take them consecutively?

Today's workout was 3.1 on the dreammill. I walked it but some on the incline. It felt good to have no pounding. tomorrow, I will run/walk 4 tomorrow.

Yes, Sue I will break them up cause sometimes I miss a workout and use that extra rest day to work it in. It should work out nicely that way. Like I mixed yester, so adjusting my schedule will be easier. If I'm schedule I can add an extra workout it if I like. You should back to your normal strength in no time.
 
Today I did a walk/run. serious DOMS from yesterday's bis/tris. tomorrow I'll do the plyo legs that I put together a few days ago. somebody say something to get me to do some abs, I can't motivate myself to do it :). be back tomorrow for personals. night ladies!
 
Good morning Ladies! I've missed you. I'm back and itching to get back to routine. We walked over 80 miles on vacation, but we ate like we walked 160 miles. Came home with a Disney pouch, talk about yummy.

Welcome back Candice, glad your ordeal is over. : )

We're heading out for a quick bike ride this morning, just to shock our bodies back to reality.

Hi girls-

I can't believe that I have been part of the checkin here for almost a whole month now! Since finding Cathe (and these awesome forums) I have remained dedicated, accountable, and really have changed my life. I've never stuck with it like this before...it feels so good to be making great progress.

This week I worked a lot of overtime at work. Yesterday I was up at 5 am and fit in a quick 20 minutes of Basic Step - I'm really proud of myself for waking up early to workout. That is something I'd like to start doing (w/o in the AM). Today was a scheduled day off. Tomorrow is Total Body Sculpting.

Shereta - I hope your half training goes well. I would love to get a treadmill - the idea of just doing a long 90 minute walk on a Saturday night on the treadmill while watching a TV show or listening to an audio book sounds sooooo good to me! I mean, I know I wouldn't burn tons of cals or anything but every bit help and walking is so relaxing to me...especially after dinner :)

Sue - it looks like you've really hit it hard this week - CONGRATS :)

PS: I ordered Horizontal Conditioning today... SO EXCITED! I have two more weeks of the 3rd "schedule" in the beginner rotation... and then I will have only 3 weeks of the rotation left! I'm so excited to start some of the newer workouts. I have the whole LIS series and also the Body Blast series...I want to get Xtrain and the Shock Cardio too...ahhh... workout workout workout.... I swear I could spend my whole check on Cathe's site lol!
 
Hola :) Today I did the plyo blender that I created this week. it was 45 minutes of sweat, the STS segments had some wait time built in so it felt a little like 30/30. also the risers varied between 2 and 4 so I found myself switching them out, I think next time I'll leave it at 2 risers. my blood pressure is at the very bottom of the normal range so leaning over to switch out the risers was making me a little light headed.

Tina glad to have you back! you'll work off the Mickey pooch before you know it :). Do you have a start date in mind for STS? I'm getting excited to start that up again, even though M1 will be grueling.

Candice I'll be interested to read your review of horizontal conditioning. I've read about it in OD but it seems very intimidating.

Oy, I have a vacation hangover. We did manage to get in 60 miles this weekend, but my body is turning on me now. I was thinking of starting STS tomorrow, but I can start anytime you're ready Sue. No worries if you want to wait a week. My back and shoulder my welcome that. Just let me know what works for you.

Candice, I'm with Sue on the HC workouts. Please let us know how you like it. Maybe they aren't as extreme as they sound. Good luck. : )

Sue, why is your BP low? Is this common for you? I hope everything is okay.
