Fatloss Check In April 2013

Hey Yall. I started feeling the soreness from Trisets around 4:30 yesterday. Triceps, gluts and inner thighs were seriously talking to me. Then this morning I did 4DS kickbox. Fun, but I was itchy all over. My muscles were not happy with me, but I kept going.

Sue, Im with you. If I don't workout in the am, it probably won't happen

Tina, I'm so glad you love biking so much. Way to watch that weather report.
 
So today was probably the nicest spring day we've had this year...nice going weatherman. Today was GS Back, Shoulders and Bi's. Then I skipped through and did each of those body parts on the Xtrain weight workouts (not Burnsets). I wish there was a premix for seperate body parts. I did manage to squeeze two walks in today.

Eating has been pretty ugly. I don't think the bathing suit is going to happen on vacation. I'll hide under a cover up.

Candice, I hope your mouth is okay.

hola :) xtrain bis & tris for me today, the 32 minute premix. I recently replaced my 55cm ball with a 65 so all the balance ball exercises are more comfortable.

Tina don't sweat the swimsuit issue, you're on vacation, if you want to swim then do so without worrying how you look. life is too short to hide under wraps :)

Shereta nice job exercising through the DOMS :) I used to hate them but now I take it as a sign I did well. I love 4ds kickbox & Bootcamp... the step routines not so much :)

Today, was Intensity step portion only. I love it. Its so hard for me, but sometimes I just do part of it on the floor. I burned 461 calories in 32 min.

Tina, I'm so nto feeling XTrain weight work. Those separate body parts are an over kill for me. But, i do use them sometimes. If you do cover up, make sure it's a cute one.

Sue, how tall are you? I love all of 4DS. If I wear mine out, you can send me yours. hahaha
 
Today was GS legs and the barre work from Xtrain legs. I tossed in the inner thigh wall squats and firewalkers to make sure I didn't miss a muscle. Jai, during the barre portion, has her toe nearly touching her earlobe. She must have been a dancer at some point in her life, incredible!

Some sort of cardio is going to happen tomorrow. I'm thinking some kickboxing sounds like fun. I hope you all have a great workout tomorrow. : )
 
Hi girls,

Just wanted to pop-in to say hello real quick. I've been sick, out of work, with this sore throat/imapcted wisdom tooth since Monday. No work outs for me so far this week. :(

Can't wait to get better. :confused: :( ugh. I hate being sick!

hey ladies :) today I did cardio leg blast, cardio only premix. Tomorrow will be legs, first time for me on that one. next week I think I'll do xtrain weight work and go out for walk/runs for cardio. I'm ready to get back outside!

Shereta that's a great calorie burn! I would gladly share the 4ds love, but I'm a downloader. I don't have any DVDs. I'm 5' 5".

How are your legs feeling Tina? I'll have to be on the lookout for Jai's toes tomorrow :). It might be the weight work in cardio leg blast, one leg dead lifts where she adds balance challenge by lifting the non weight leg behind her, she's so impressive. have fun kickboxing tomorrow :)

Candice I hope you start feeling better! Have you been in to see the dentist? My favorite sore throat remedy is tea with lemon & honey. The taste takes some getting used to but if you can get past that your throat will be feeling better quick. I'm sending you healing vibes :)

Today was kickboxing and STS med ball abs. Eating was better today. Tomorrow will be GS chest and tris. I may try to add on some of the Xtrain weight work for those body parts if I have time.

Sue, Cardio Leg Blast cardio premix sounds tough. How are your legs tonight? I just introduced DD to Hard Strikes today. She really liked it, thought it was way easier than 30/30, which is now her favorite. I'm so proud of her (sniff).

Candice, I hope you're feeling better! I hope you can have those removed soon.

Shereta, I posted under your other thread about calories. If you join MFP, I'm under the same name there and you can check out my food diary for ideas (mostly of what not to do). Sue is over there as well. It would be great if you joined. : )

Hey ladies :). today was legs, premix 6 with balance ball, floor & barre work. My hamstrings and quads were trying to go into charley horses a few time with the ball work so I backed off a little on those. Plus I totally couldn't do the one leg in the air rollbacks, will have to try try again on those. I was so happy during the floor work to have old fashioned leg lifts. My eating has been bad this week, I stop logging into MFP half way through the day and forget about any good intentions I might have had. I hope it's just a phase :)

Tina how was GS today? Yes, hard strikes is sooooo much easier than 30/30, much less sucking wind for me. I wear 1lb fingerless gloves, gives a bit more challenge. I couldn't imagine wearing those boxing gloves that completely cover your hands, i gotta have some ventilation.

Shereta I'm over on MFP too, the app makes it easy to log your food once you get used to it and have a few recipes entered. I like the nutrition summary, I'm currently trying to think of ways to get more iron in my diet because that's one area I don't do too well. The only days I've had 100% recommended intake is when I've had total raisin bran for breakfast, and my grocery store won't sell it anymore (I'm pretty miffed about that).

Good morning ladies, I hope you're all doing well. I posted last night, but I don't see it here. I must have forgotten to hit submit. I apologize if this is a double post.

Yesterday was GS Chest and Tri's, 4DS kickboxing and B&G SB abs. GS nearly killed me yesterday. I am so sore this morning, mostly the chest area. I'm taking a rest day today, and then hopefully cycling Sun. and Mon. Total body weight work for next week. I'm excited for High Reps, MM and HSC. : )

Sue, my library finally rec'd the copy of Cat's Cradle I requested. I can't wait to get it started, thanks for the rec. I'm with you on the boxing gloves. I'd have pruney hands if I wore those. Not to mention, I hear they smell awful. I'd like to get a pair of fingerless MMA gloves, 10 oz. would be nice.

I need to get my nutrition under control. I've been very lazy with planning. I'm working all day today, so I'm going to pack only healthy things. : )

Hi there girls,

Wow, what an insane week I have had. I have not been very active here on the forums. :( I had such a terrible time with my tooth/jaw all the way up until Friday. It is still sore yesterday and today but more of an annoyance than anything, thank goodness!

I really fell off the bandwagon though, as a result. First off, I ate a lot and I ate like crap. I must be an emotional eater because the last thing I needed was food but I still ate and ate anyway! I also did not move at all. I worked Th/Fri and instead of standing like I normally do, I chose to sit...I still wasn't feeling great. The good news is that I have not given up tracking my food. I did the best I could throughout the week although it was not perfect. I have also tracked yesterday and today.

Anyway, I am going to be out of work Tues-Thurs this coming week b/c they are pulling the wisdom tooth so I most likely will be not working out those days, however, my goal is to not overeat!

I think it is safe to say that writing down my food is becoming second nature to me. It's time to add in a new habit - eating 3-4x a day ONLY, not randomly snacking. so, if I'm not working out, the goal is 3 meals a day. If I am working out and I know I'm going to need the energy, I'm going to have a pre-workout meal. I'm going to try that for the next 2 weeks or so.

Hope your girls weekend is going well. I am going to try to salvage my week with some cardio work tonight, probably Low Impact Step. I might also do Total Body Sculpting if I have the energy.

PS: Today I did good - so far only 2 meals, and dinner left to go. For breakfast I made eggs, bacon, and pancakes (complete w/ butter and syrup, but my focus is not on quality (yet) but rather quantity) and then lunch was a bown of Raisin Nut Bran with organic whole milk. I want to give myself a thumbs up because I have been buying fruity sugary marshmallow cereal lately...and I made a good decision today by choosing to buy something else. I know that RNB is not the healthiest cereal but it is healthier than the choices I've been making lately (and I am a cereal-aholic lol).
 
Today was a tough bike ride with abs and a good stretch at the end. Only four days left until vacation, so I'm going to cram in as many workouts as I can, cause starting Friday, I am doing NOTHING for seven days, except power eating. :eek:

Candice, sorry to hear you're still suffering with those wisdom teeth. Make sure to line up some good movies for the two days after surgery. Scrambled eggs are a good go to for soft food after. You'll feel so much better after. Let us know how you make out. : )

Hola Chicas :) Cathe broke my legs on Friday. I took a rest day yesterday and walked today. Still have major DOMS from my knees to my hips. That legs workout is no joke and I didn't even do the weights portion.

Shereta great job on Tabatacize, I can only get through 1 round.

Candice I'll be thinking good thoughts for you extraction this week. Take it easy and heal, exercise will wait for you :).

Tina have you started cats cradle? No I haven't planned a getaway yet, it's on my list :). You're going on some good rides I bet it's great to be outdoors, do you still have to bundle up?

I'm cleaning up my eats this week, how about y'all? Have a good one!
 
Hard to enjoy anything after today's horrific news. We live an hour from Boston. I can't believe something like this can happen so close to home. Just heartbreaking. :(

I gave my shoulder an extra rest day and didn't lift at all. I did get out for a windy/chilly bike ride. The first half of the ride I was by myself and I was really happy with my speed. DH is way quicker on the climbs, but I've got him on the descents. And yes, we are still having to dress in many layers. It took me so long to dress today, I almost (ALMOST) gave up on the shoe covers. Thank goodness my inner adult made me sit down and struggle them on.

Sue, I haven't started Cat's Cradle yet. I'm trying to finish book three of A Game of Thrones. There are so many characters in this saga, I'm afraid I'll lose track if I put it down in the middle. I'll let you know when I start. : ) Great job on the mega log in days on MFP. Woot! Woot! : )

Such a tragedy in Boston today, I hope they find the responsible parties quickly. The news kept repeating how it could have been so much worse had the bombs been more sophisticated. I'm sure those who lost loved ones or limbs could skip the "it coulda been worse" rhetoric. I wish the news would go back to reporting and stop commentating.

I like your "inner adult" Tina :). Your toes are thanking you I'm sure. You're really putting in the workouts this week, your body may go into shock on vaca when you don't work it!

Candice good luck tomorrow @ the dentist! follow your post-op instructions to a T - I've heard dry socket is no fun at all!

Hey, Ladies. I've been spending all my computer time on MFP. Yes, I love it. I've lost 2.2 lbs since Friday. Im really enjoying playing around with food, calories, carb count, protein and fiber count.
i've been working out everyday so far. Friday should be my first rest day. But, my calories will be low if I don't workout - Im worried.

yesterday's workout was All out low impact Hiit
today wasy HiiT 40/20

tomorrow i've got to give my legs a break, maybe boxing MMA

Sue, I hate evil people. All evil people that plot and plan to hurt others need to go live in a place by themselves. It's horrible.
 
Today was High Reps. I just love this workout. I did the plate section twice, it's so much fun. I downloaded a new pedometer onto my phone and measured my step length. I logged in over 5 miles today. I can't wait to see how many miles we do while we're in Disney.

Shereta, congrats on the weight loss! Way to go!

Candice, I hope you're feeling okay. Second day will be so much easier. Enjoy those pain meds. ; )

Sue, I totally agree that the news needs to go back to being the news. Remember when we would all gather to watch the news hour after dinner when we were kids. We need to go back to that.

Quick check in for me. I did the timesaver premix for supercuts today, plus about a third of the sit-ups/push-ups at the end albeit much slower than Cathe & crew. Good news is all my push-ups were on my toes! Be back tomorrow for personals, have a great day gals!
 
Wow. I'm down another lb. I only had one calorie left yesterday in MFP. LOl I was so hungry all day.

Today, I did 4DS kickbox and burned 400 calories in 30 min. I was so short on time, I skipped past the leg kicks during the warmup. Sweat was flying all over the place.

Tina, I love HR. But, I've not had much time to do it lately.

Sue, great job on the pushups. I'm up to 8 on my toes. I used to be able to do 28! I'll get back there one day.
