Hey there, what's your favorite fat free salad dressings? I've tried a few but haven't found one that I really like :)

I don't buy much in the way of fat-free anymore...I used to when I was losing weight but now that I am on more of a maintenence program I lean towards wish bone's 2 grams of fat dressing. I like all kinds of dressing tho...I don't really have a fave. Actually what I used to use a lot was a little Balsamic Vinegar on my salad. No oil or anything. That was tasty!:)

Have you tried the Carb Control? I really like those. It has a little more calories than fat free, but it doesn't have the sugar. I love the Italian and Olive Vinagarette. Don't think I spelled that right.

I've read in several places that you are better off with full-fat salad dressings because the fat helps you to absorb the carotenoids in the vegetables. So, you should really eat your vegetables with some fat to help absorb the nutrients - dip, dressing, a little butter, etc.

Even the reduced fat dressings - like the Just 2 Good mentioned - helps absorb some carotenoids and are better than nonfat.

But, if you still want a fat-free dressing, I used to eat Walden Farms and liked it a lot.

Ditto. Though you could also get the fat by adding some olives or avocado or nuts to your salad, and if you eat a salad as part of a meal, you will be getting fat in the rest of the meal.

I usually don't use dressing, and just eat my salads "naked" (with some olives or nuts or sunflower seeds added) and have actually grown to prefer the taste of naked veggies! But when I make bean salad to share, I use Zesty Italian dressing because it has a lot of flavor in a small amount.

Good Seasons is pretty good, but I don't do fat-free dressing anymore. I get Ken's Lite Olive Oil Vinaigrette. It's very tasty.

As far as Italian and Vinigarette dressings go, I like the Wishbone Fat Free. I don't like any fat free creamy dressings. They just never taste good to me. For ranch, I like the Light Done Right Four Cheese ranch. It's not fat free, but it's so good!

My good friend uses apple cider vinegar and mixes a little Splenda in it. I've never tried it, but she thinks it's wonderful!

I also don't eat fat-free dressing anymore. It was hard for me to give it up, but my nutritionist convinced me that I needed more oil in my diet. So now I use Newman's Lite Balsamic Vinegrette and I LOVE it!!

The Newmans dressings are the only ones my nutritionist recommends because she says they are the only dressings that are all natural.

Maybe the only grocery-store ones that are, but health-food stores carry all-natural dressings.
