FAT CALORIES

I have just started using 1 tablespoon of olive oil per day and now I'm thinking how do fat calories work? If I now have an extra 14 grams of fat (tbs.olive oil,)does that mean my body has to work extra hard to burn those extra fat calories? or, do I just use the calories in versus calories out theory?

My opinion would be calories in v. calories out! good luck
Take time to enjoy those who matter most to you & do all things in moderation :)

Olive oil is a monounsaturated fat which is kind to the body, helps lower bad cholesterol among other things. You have added 120 calories so you need to burn an extra 120 calories or eliminate them in another way such as skipping a soda you might drink or something along those lines. I love olive oil and use it alot. A little fat in the diet is satisfying and can help you lose weight by satisfying you and making you feel full. Olive oil is an excellent choice!

I find that when I add healthy fats to my diet that I end up not eating as much. Somehow, I feel fuller. Fat is fat though, and unless you burn it, your body is going to want to store it. I wouldn't worry though unless you start seeing yourself getting fatter. Lately, I have added many fat sources..nuts, olive oil and flax, and I swear I have gotten leaner!!
