Fat burner

To lose 5-10 pounds, I recommend increasing your activity level a bit, and reducing your calorie intake a bit.

I don't recommend fat burners.

A good way to shed a few more calories as well is to walk over to your trash can, and drop the fat burner promptly in, where it belongs.

So-called fat burners can be dangerous as they are not regulated by the FDA - look how long Hydroxycut was out with ephedra, then recalled, they had to change the formula, and then recalled again... In my bodybuilding days, I used an amino acid stack that was wonderful for leaning me out. Twinlabs Mega Citrimax and L-Carnitine (two different pills)... no side effects at all and it does help burn that last few pounds.

Anyone ever take one and what do you recommend to lose 5-10 pounds?

Hi Roselyn, the one reason I don't like fat burners is because it is a temorary solution. Most people end up gaining all the weight and in some cases even a little extra but if you are curious and want to try one I would suggest going to a nutrition store like a GNC. If you are lucky you'll get someone who knows what they are talking about. Don't buy it print out the description on the web and talk to your Dr. esp if you are taking any other medications the combination could be bad. This is why I think the diet is one of the foulest words in the english language, . . it is just temporary it has to be a lifestyle change and the truth of the matter is that you have to use up more calories than you take in.

To lose 5-10 pounds I suggest high intensity workouts (like the Imaxes or running intervals) with at least one long steady state workout per week. Focus on eating lots of good fats, vegetables, and protein. Avoid junk food. If you need a treat eat the real thing and don't eat fake versions of anything. No sugar substitutes. Sleep enough, thats critical. Drink water.

You might try adding coconut oil, drinking green tea, and eating fish (if you can.)
