Fashion Alert: White Button down shirts are back!

Today, I went to the mall on a mission to find another career blouse/shirt to wear for an interview. I ended up buying a white button-down just like the one I had when I graduated college in 1984. Also, I did see pin-stripes button down shirts too.
Walked thru Ralph Lauren, I had seen my first interviewing suit of white-button down shirt with a basic black cut suit. OMG, shoulder pads might be next.

a button down shirt i can do. a white one. no. i am so white i am practically blue. i need colour. i would totally wear a button down shirt with hits of pink, violet, maroon, beige or brown. i didn't even wear a white wedding dress. come to think of it. my wedding dress was hideous despite not being white. i looked so 'OMG u've got to kidding!"- bouffant hairdo (what was I thinking - it came back for a minute in the late 90's) and a silk metallic coral coloured dress with an empire waist. It screamed "I don't know what I'm doing". Hmmm going off topic a little.

A lot of corporate-wear stores never got rid of them but I seen many today everywhere at JC Penney, Macy's and J. Jill. After the 80's, the work "uniform" left of basic suit and button-down shirt but it appears to be back now.
Ceci, there are many colors. I can't wear pure white either but my blazers are my colors. I did see maroon, turqoise and royal blue.
Tracy, I have worked retail for JL Hudson (now Macy's), Dress Barn, and a local chain in college so I check out stores and how clothes are hung or not.
