Fage ideas?

Hi everyone,

I like the idea of having a Fage yogurt for a snack, but by itself I don't really enjoy it. I tried putting a spoon of sugar free jam in it, but that didn't really help too much. Does anyone have any ideas of what to mix into the Fage that wouldn't add too many additional calories but would improve the enjoyment factor for me?

Thank you!
Doreen

Doreen - I put frozen blueberries in mine (any fruit would work). I let it sit for a minute or two and then mix it up. Delicious and healthy. I can't eat it by itself either even though I love the texture.

When I saw this thread today, I suddenly remembered why "Fage" always seems odd to me: it's a flesh-eating disease in the "Star Trek: Voyager" series!

(Sorry, that doesn't give you any ideas...! But I have used soy yogurt ---Fage could be used as well--mixed with some sweetener --I usually use agave nectar--- as a topping for a fruit plate: mango, strawberries, blueberries, etc.)

I put 5-6 rasberries in it, a few chopped walnuts, a packet of splenda, mix it all up real good, then drizzle the top with a touch of honey. This is my favorite dessert, I eat it every day. Absolutely delicious.

I cant find this anywhere. I live in a small town in AL - we have Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie and Piggly Wiggly. There are two small health food stores, but they dont carry a lot and what they do carry is expensive. Oh to have Trader Joes nearby again.....You never know what you have until it's gone....:-(

I eat fage yogurt one of two ways.

1) with honey and walnuts

2) with half a scoop of PB chocolate protein powder

I love eating fage both of these ways but not just buy itself.

Tess, it's like a sinful treat, isn't it? I have to thank you for getting me onto this PB chocolate flavored protein powder. It's so good and it's definitely my favorite right now.

Hi there ,
My Aunt makes sort of a dip with the fage yogurt with diced cucumber, minced garlic and a little olive oil and a sparse amount of mint as well. It is really yummy for dipping veggies into or crackers ,pita bread. Give it a whirl and see what you think:)

I don't care for it plain, but I do love it w/ 1/4 c. Kashi GoLean Crunch & a couple strawberries.... much better that way! But now I'll have to try adding in my BSN lean dessert protein powder!! :p

Oh, I also like to add in about .5 T. of Naturally More PB, that's really yummy too!

Just out of curiosity, do most of you eat the 0% fat version or the regular version? I accidentally picked up the regular version the last time I was at the store and I about died when I read how much saturated fat was in it. I'm having a hard time making myself eat it now. :/

I eat the 0% or the 2% version. I haven't ever had the full fat version. 20 g seems like a lot of fat.
