Hi everyone

I couldn't see a thread so thought I'd get us started.

As expected, there was no time for workouts this weekend. We went to a friend's for lunch on Saturday, then DD had a friend over for a sleepover that night and on Sunday we went to see Gnomeo and Juliet.

Today I did PS CST, I'm planning to work my way through them this week.

So, what's new?

Lisa - that sounds like a good run. Also sounds like you had a good weekend. It must be great to see your boys grown up and doing well.

Mary - the film was good. I thought it was a proper kid's film rather than one that's aimed at adults.

Today I did PS Legs - skipped the abs because I didn't have time. Had to answer the door to a courier part way through - a bit embarrassing as I was wearing some really old stuff!
 
:eek:Ronne, do you mean to tell me you don't dress in the latest and greatest workout gear? ;) I've been known to be in stuff that I couldn't answer the door in. Case in point, this morning I wore only my jog bra to run.
 
Hi girls! Today 2 miles on the treadmill and 2 miles on the rowing machine, I was done! I did get some chocolates yesterday! Chocolate covered strawberries! They are fabulous! I did have to share tho! Ronne, I need to get PS. I use to borrow them from the library, however they were VHS and our VCR doesn't exist anymore! I always enjoyed those. Lisa, 4 miles!? That is impressive! It would be funny to see you in your bra running! I mean that in a good way! I have all the kids running around, I would love to see their faces if I did that! DH would probably love it! Murphy, where are you? Vickie, are you still around? Have a good nite! Mary
 
Mary, so glad to give you a visual :p:eek::confused: If my DH saw me I'm sure he would love it, at least until I started sweating buckets. I don't ever remember you doing treadmill or rowing before, did you get some new equipment or did some old equipment get new life?
 
DH and I went to a resale shop, found the treadmill and rower for a great price, we put our Vegas winnings to good use! Remember sweat is good for you!
 
Hi all. I have been sick for the past three days, it came out of nowhere. There were a few people sick at the office and DH was sick too so I guess it was just a matter of time! I took off yesterday and so am feeling better not 100%. I am going to try to get something light in tonight. Plus, on top of my cold, my cycle is here. I guess it is good to get them both done with. Blah, blah, blah.

Murphy - not again?! You are so unlucky with illness at the moment. Take it easy and don't go mega-workout yet!

Mary - I got PS when it was on sale - I think it's a bit easier than some of the later weight workouts - guess that's why I like it!

Having said that I've got some DOMS from yesterday. I was going to do Imax3 but then did the cardio premix from LIC instead. I was wiped out! My heart rate shot up, I was sweating buckets. Don't think my cardio is quite up to par at the moment!
 
Today I started STS, Disc 1. It was refreshing change (except the push-ups! I do them on my knees, don't even try for the toes).

Ronne, I hear you about cardio not being up to par! LIC cardio is so fun! IMAX3, I know you like it but I never do it!

Murphy, what a bummer with the illness. I swear it's easier to catch a virus right before or during your cycle.

Vickie, you didn't drop out yet did you? Did we scare you away?

Mary, what a sweet deal on that equipment! What's your w/o today?
 
Hi girls! It is like spring here! It is in the 50's! Of course by sat., it will be back in the 30's! Today will be disc 2 of STS. Murphy, I'm sorry you got sick again! Hope that you feel better! Ronne, I haven't done LIC in a long time, I think I used to do it so much I wore myself out! Lisa, weren't those push ups crazy? I am surprised I didn't get sore from it tho! Have a good night! Mary, I'm dreading the pull-ups---you will have them today in disc 2. Gorgeous day here too, shame to be at work and have NOTHING to do. I have my nook propped up in an inconspicous spot and have been reading.

So, Mary & Lisa, you're both doing STS again together? That'll be good for keeping each other motivated.

Just a short workout for me today. I did PS Back/Bis and skipped the abs to save time. I hate those ab sections in the older DVDs that are just 10 mins of crunches. Much prefer the newer approach!
 
Hey everyone!

Ronne, I took your approach and only did a 20 min TF HIIT. It was over before I knew it! I was short on time as I actually slept in a bit and woke up feeling sooooo refreshed (I was wiped out last night).

Yes I think it's perfect Mary and I are doing STS at the same time but so far she'll always be ahead of me!
 
Hi girls! Running behind today! Just finished disc 3, won't have time tomorrow, had to compress things! I keep trying to tell myself it is ok to take days off...Tell me it is ok!! Kids off school tomorrow, until Tues.! Going to the movies Fri., Sun, I think we will go bowling again. Hope the weather holds out, it is beautiful here! Lisa, 20 minutes sounds perfect! Hi ladies!

I know you thought I fell off the face of the earth. LOL. But, I was sick for a few days last week. I didn't exercise Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sun. Thought I was going to be back to norm, so I worked out on Monday. Then I just haven't done anything since. I really have no excuse, except I'm having a huge case of the "don't want to's". Once, I get out of a routine for a few days it's so hard to get back in. I've so got to get over this "blah" or I won't lose anymore weight. I know I need to just do it, but well...I'm just not. This better pass soon or I'm gonna be in a whole heap of trouble:) Do any of you have days like this? What do you do to get over it?
 
Hi Vickie! Glad you are back! Don't get down on yourself, I know what you are going through. That is why I am afraid to take a day off! When that happens to me I make myself do something like a Leslie walking video, I tell myself 15 minutes, just to do something. Then before you know it you will get back in the routine. It is a never ending challenge! Also, maybe your body is asking for a break. You need to listen to it! I am sure the other girls will pipe in too! Have a good night. Mary
 
Vickie, YES it's hard getting back into a groove. This last time I really just didn't wanna, but I knew that if I didn't what I would literally GROW into :D Plus, I know my girls here would hunt me down and knock some sense into me so I spare them that and get to it. Some days I wonder WHY some people don't have to do anything and they are skinny, but then I just tell myself this is my life, it's what I have to do for me and I'M WORTH IT! Hope your mood starts turning around, just believe you can do it and you will.
