Eye-catching thong gives rise to lawsuit

OK, someone just emailed this to me & I am ROTFLMAO......maybe someone can wrap a couple of these around their knuckles & give the fist bump new meaning......the "news" keeps getting better & better! :+

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25258522/

ETA: be sure to watch the video. It's a classic!

I saw this yesterday on the news. Her eye is fine, doctor gives her a clean bill of health, and no long term problems so what exactly will she be monetarily compensated for?

When thongs attack!! :+

I couldn't watch it all. How dumb. Really.

Oh, could she show anymore cleavage on national television?

How about compensation for the extensive emotional trauma? *Note sarcasm*

LOL this is just way too ridiculous!

I saw this on the Today show this morning. What's worse is that that lawyer sat there spewing this crap with a straight face. How he can do that and take himself seriously is beyond me. If I was Victoria's Secret I would counter-sue her for being an idiot - last time I was there they didn't sell anything near her size. So it's one her for trying to squeeze into that thing in the first place.

OH MY GOSH!!! Thank you for posting this. What a scream...LOL!

Edited to come back and say, can you imagine the talk around the water cooler at her place of employment???

Couldn't believe it this AM - what a HOOT !

Laura Max, I was wondering who would post about this and I honestly, honestly, though of you !:+

You do come up with some doozies to make us chuckle . . .

Like duh lady ! Didn't you know what you were buying?

Who would be brave enough to go on TV and even say something like that?

I had to laugh when Meredith said "You have to know that there are many people out there right now listening and rolling their eyes at this lawsuit" !

You go girl - make her feel ridiculous.}(

OK - done. I'm going home now.

;-)

That was my thought when I saw her on Today. She was no slender gal, so unless Victoria's Secret is using some sort of space-age fabric to make its thongs....that thing was gonna pop, eventually!

And lawyers correct me if I am wrong, if she has no long-term damages the most she'd be able to get would be medical costs, and even then she'd have to prove flagrant neglect of safety standard by VS, no?

Ridiculous.

I saw this too, and the timing was PREFECT for me! LOL I had just gotten done with Cardio Coach V5 and was a sweaty mess on the floor after the stretch. I reached over and turned on the TV and saw this. I was up on my feet in NO TIME...LMAO and rolling my eyes. It got me up off the floor, at the very least!

Stupid, isn't it?

When she was asked how many times she wore it, at first she said once. Well, then "maybe twice". The look her lawyer had while she was saying that was funny...like he was trying to say "SHUT UP, DEAR WOMAN"!!!

LOL

What some people will do for that 15 minutes of fame. I bet she is vying for her own reality show on VH1...:7

This is ridiculous! Also, I'm probably just being sensitive but I am not slender girl and I fit in VS panties and thongs just fine. I know that no one meant any harm by their comments but it's been a tough week and I am overly sensitive right now :(

Whose trauma? Hers or OURS.

No offense intended - if you saw the woman and then the picture of the attack-thong, you would understand - she wasn't going to fit in it - that's why it broke. She is a larger/curvier woman than the garment she chose was designed for.

Karin, I meant no offense at all! As NY25 said, it's not that she was heavier and wearing a thong, it's that the thong just wasn't her size! If she chose a thong that fit she might not have had an issue.

Sorry for any hurt feelings. Certainly not my intention. :)
