Hello all my sexy mothers,

I just need to say that today i feel great. i did imax extreme.
but i have a question for anyone that knows the answer.
its okay to do deadlift and jumps. becuause i was doing the imax extreme and i was a little concern about some of the moves. is it safe to do all the moves from all cathe tapes?

can someone give me good news.

thank you,

I've felt great my entire pregnancy also. In fact I see my dr. on Thursday and was going to ask the same thing. Saturday I did Gauntlet. I stopped half way through the Terminator Squat Thrusts since I wasn't sure if I should do them or not. I haven't stopped jumping since becoming pregnant and everything has been going very well. I'm 29 weeks. How far along are you?

Susa, iam 9week. by the way thank you for your respond. let me know what the dr. tells you. because last week i saw my DR and i asks her if i could continue exercising but i never when to details. and she told me yes, that i could continue my same workout as before. but i just feel a little scare with some of the moves.

how far along are you? what is the imax extreme? i have seen bits of 2 and 3, but not the extreme.

do you or susan get winded or tired more easily than before? i am just 8 wks and am continuing what my body is used to (running 35-40mi a wk, some strength training 4 times a week), but i am so much more tired so quickly. it is hard to do what used to be easy. i don't feel bad, but i feel like i am working hard. does that make sense?

dominican, I asked my dr. this morning if jumps were ok and she said "no". Nothing with impact. She suggested a leisurely walk on a treadmill, no more than ONE mile. She said it's bad for ligaments.

This morning after weight lifting I did KPC, so for me, I'm not listening to my doctor. That's just me. I know not to over exert myself and do any moves that seem unsafe.

morris, No, I don't get more winded than before becoming pregnant. I'm not tired at all. My stamina has remained as high as usual. There are a lot of time *I* want to do more (such as lifting), but don't since it would not be safe for the baby.

Honestly, Susan, I think that ob's always err on the side of extreme caution. I was fine with jumping, until my belly got so big that it put a lot of strain on my lower back causing me pain and I had to quit.

It sounds as if you are doing what your body can handle. I suspect that from what you've shared about your weight gain, that you carry fairly small and can handle the jumping fine.

I always break the "heart rate" rule and my babies have always been fine. (I also take hot baths--and in my first 3 pregnancies before I knew any better, I ate deli meat, soft imported cheeses, sushi, and alfalfa sprouts--all supposed no no's:p :p )

Alrighty I have an awesome midwife and I was in the middle of training for a marathon when I found out I was pregnant. We downgraded to a half marathon on her recommendation (ran at 8 weeks) and also ran a 10 mile race at 10 weeks pregnant. Then I lost all lung capacity and have moved onto hi/lo aerobics fairly high impact.

My midwife is very pro exercising. She just keeps telling me to listen to my body and that If I listen I will know when I need to modify. I'm 15 weeks right now and have found that with running my body told me loud and clear when it was time to stop which for me was right around 12 weeks. With aerobics my body lets me know when I need to take it down a notch or stop for a breather.

Not to contradict your Dr, as I'm not a Dr. and don't know your circumstances but for me my midwife said since I was already in pretty good shape I could keep up my routine just making sure to listen to my body.

Hi! I was concerned about jumping too.....
I went to the Doc last Wed. and I asked him about step and jumping and he said it's fine, I could continue doing whatever I was doing before pregnancy. My father in law is also a OB and he said the same. He said pregnancy isn't a sickness, it's a 'PHYSIOLOGICAL' change to the body. We can do just about everything we did before we got prego;-) They say a lot of people out there are misinformed and that's why so many think you can't DO or EAT a lot of things. With my first I worked out everyday to the day I gave birth. Had red wine every now and then, and I ate blue and feta cheese:9 She is a beautiful and healthy 8 month old.
