FourAM
Cathlete
Ok gals (for those of us who stay hopelessly confused) I jumped into the deep end of the pool and didn't hold my nose and I did not drowned.<---If that is how you spell that...For some reason it doesn't seem correct.
OK sorry still on the workout high
For me, figuring out where to start with the 1rm has been very difficult. I have read as many threads as I could and some have been very helpful and others seem as overwhelmed as I do. But I think I have figured out what I will do...If lots of people are like me and want to be perfect when sts gets here I think that is understandable but we all have to remember how it was when we first started doing Cathe. Probably a little awkward and definitely tougher than expected. So what I have done for myself is just started with a few exercizes off of the list and started first just trying them out. It was a very good workout and I could really gauge my ability right off.
I have realized that until sts gets here and I can really see the form and for a lot of the exercizes, what they are, I might not know my 1rm. That is not a big deal, because I realized today that I can incorporate the list into my routines and if I am not perfect when sts gets here I will be at least used to trying them and will be closer than if I just waited until it was here to do anything.
So the advice I have is don't be overwhelmed, be patient. We all want to dive right into sts and be the best we could be and we will be. We will all just have our own pace getting there!
Thanks to Cathe I have really become a better person. I have pushed myself harder than I ever would on my own. I am sure that sts will be the same.
