Heck, even I'm in agreement! I think one of the lowest points I've seen in the music industry is when they had Beyonce cover everyone's nominated songs at the Grammy's a few years ago. Gag me... I know I'm in the minority, but I can't stand her voice.

I can't stand her voice, either. All that high-pitched warbling all over the place... Good actress, LOOOOOOVE her dancing, and she's a true beauty, nice, everything. Cannot stand to hear her sing, though. Where the hell is Toni Braxton??? THAT's a singer!

Did ETTA JAMES even entertain the thought that if BEYONCE didn't do the movie or sing the song that no one under 40 would even know the name ETTA JAMES?

MISS JAMES owes BEYONCE a "thank you".

P.S. I heard on one of the entertainment programs that ETTA JAMES' version of "At Last" was a cover. The original was done by the GLEN MILLER BAND.

Yeah, but Etta made it famous. Just like Patsy Cline's version of "Crazy" was a cover of a Willie Nelson song.

Ms. James doesn't need to thank Beyonce for anything. Her version is still the standard and her talent stands on its own.

I think she felt that was :her song" and probably would have liked to perform it at the inauguration. It would have been cute to have a 72 year old perform.
