I really wouldn't feel bad about Taurine. Taurine is a non-essential amino acid which plays a variety of roles in the normal functioning of the brain, heart, gallbladder, eyes, and vascular system. Doctors frequently use it as a supplement older hospitalized patients. So there really is some benefit to the drink as well as the niacin, B6 and B12. I only feel a smiggin guilty about the sugar and inactive ingredients....but I enjoy the results from using it more then I feel guilty... if that makes any sense. I am also not a total health nut about every single thing I eat or drink....just a part-time one
