Endomorph sharing what seems to be working for her

This past month I have been doing mostly Kickboxing. Cathe's stuff, Kickmax, KP&C, and Cardio Kicks. Also bought some Janis Saffel stuff which I love...Strike Zone, 10 minute solution (I run through the whole thing for a 30 minute workout), Kick It and Kickbox underground with Guillermo Gomez (I believe he's her husband). I do GS Legs with heavy weights once a week and Power Hour once a week. The only step I have been doing is Low Max and I throw in IMAX 1 once in awhile.

Since changing from mostly step to mostly kickboxing, I have lost at least a half inch off my hips. I put on some jeans yesterday that were tight a few weeks ago and they were very comfortable. Also, today I have on some dress slacks that were tight when I bought them and they are loose.

I am thrilled with this because it's been several years since I have seen a major change like this in the way my clothes fit. Even more so than when I had liposuction a couple of years ago. I really haven't changed my diet much accept cut out low fat frozen yogurt on the weekends.

Just thought I'd share.

Candi...it is such a great feeling finding what works for you. And to have your jeans fit better. Way to go! Thanks for sharing...:)...Carole

thanks so much for sharing Candi,

my right knee is really tweeked out and I have not done any step in a week. I focused on treadmill and weights...and I was finishing up the Feb rotation and almost got thru it but my knee cant hack it...

I was planning on incorporating kickboxing, weights, and treadmill for the month of March. Although I like step better than kickboxing it is good to know that you had some progress...

Just 3 years ago I could eat alot more and work out less...but now it is the opposite - I have to train harder and eat less..the weight is stuck on me!

I was also going to do GS Legs once a week! I was considering the following:

sample week:
Day 1: KPC + GS Back, Biceps, Shoulders
Day 2: Treadmill (45 minutes) + Coremax segment
Day 3: GS Legs + Treadmill (evening)
Day 4: Kickmax + GS Chest and Triceps
Day 5: Lowmax + Ab Hits segment
Day 6: KPC + Coremax segment
Day 7: OFF

What does your week look like?

From one endomorph to another, thanks for sharing this, Candi.

If you're looking for any more kickbox workouts, I'd recommend Powerstrike I or II. Powerstrike I seems to hit me perfectly in the glutes and hamstrings.

Judy,

Since I turned 42, I cannot eat like I used. I mean I could, only if I am prepared for the negative affects x(

This is what I am planning for this week which is similar to what I've been doing:

Today - KP&C (45 minutes), Core Max segment 2
Tuesday - IMAX 1
Wednesday - Power Hour including abs section
Thursday - Kamikazee Kickbox (I just got this from Collage...it's different...high intensity)
Friday - Low Max (45 minutes), Core max segment 1
Saturday - Strike Zone, Janis Saffel (40 minutes), 10 Minute Solution Kickbox (all 3 ten minute segments)
Sunday - GS Legs (weight section only), GS upper body, MIS upper body or ME upper body (for the sake of time)

It looks like both of us are on the same wavelength :)

I just remembered another thing I added. I'm wrapping my 2 lb weights around my hands during the kickboxing to add to the intensity. At first my arms got a little tired...now my arms feel weird If I'm not holding them.

Gayle,

I have the Powerstrike 1. I get kind of bored with the repetition in it, though but I have been thinking about adding it in once every other week. Thanks for the reminder :)

congrats to you from another endomorph here. i have found kickboxing to be great cardio for us. many have shyed from heavy weights for lower body but for some reason i find at least one day of heavy weights does help. i just made my own mixed rotation and only doing step once a week for a fun factor cardio workout but most of my cardio will be running(b/c i love it and it works my legs) and kickboxing(to kick away that stress). i am also working with my new pilates ring and it seems to help my tushie some.i didn't think that sucker would ever lift up :)
