Enabling Needed--LIC & HSTA???

Ok, continuing on my path to accumulate the majority of Cathe's videos, I am stumped once again and hoping for a bit of advice.

I do not yet own LIC or High Step Training Advanced (actually, I don't have ANY of the high step videos yet). I was wondering if there is a benefit to get both...as they are both circuit style workouts.

Or, should one suffice over the other?

**I know that these questions may get a bit tiresome...but, once the credit card is in hand...shreds of doubt start to creeep into one's mind and you start wondering..."do I reallly need it...?"x(

Any opinions would help!!!

HSTA goes hand in hand with BC for me. I find it to be quite challenging and one of my favorites. LIC is good if you want a, well, lower instensity style workout ;) It is not as hard as HSTA. Maybe I'd compare it to Cardio & Weights for intensity.

Hi,

I vote for HSTA. I think it is a more comprehensive total body workout, with less cardio and more weight training focus. I think it is more difficult too, JMO.

I think LIC is more intermediate and HSTA is a true advanced challenge. So I think it depends where you are and what you need. Also, LIC has longer and less intense cardio sections, and since it's on a club step will have a more choreographed feel. HSTA has high-intensity athletic cardio intervals that are 2-3 minutes long and are very athletic. Every cardio burst in HSTA is followed by leg presses and that continues the cardio effect - obviously, you have to love leg presses, there are 6 sets of them!

I also think the weight work in HSTA is very innovative. The upper body premix is one I use often. I have to confess, I was pretty "eh" about LIC. Low Max had better low-impact choreo and I wasn't impressed by the weight work. Also, that "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" music was very grating to me.

Now, the downfalls of HSTA, to be fair, is that it has no ab work, and the music is very canned and you can hear the obvious tempo changes.

I kept HSTA, but traded LIC.

Thank you for the great feedback. I believe that I will go with the HSTA video for now. I do enjoy the athletic choreography above anything else.

As always...when help was needed, everyone delivered!

I appreciate the help...and my credit card does too!!! :)
