Elaine...how did your marathon go???

Hi Elaine, We are all on the edge of our seat waiting to here how your marathon went! Tell us all the juicey details...did you make your goal? Did you have fun? How do you feel now? The course...the weather...the after party...all the good stuff!

Also, any last second tips for the other marathoners here? How about those of us doing 1/2's...I have another in 7 weeks and will take all the advice I can get!

Cannot wait to hear from you!!!!!:) :) :)

Well, it was close (like I knew it would be). I didn't finish in 4 hours. My time was 4:07:20. I missed my goal by 6 minutes and 21 seconds!!! :-(

I live at sea level and the marathon started at 5000 feet so the elevation got to me a bit at the start. BUT, I'll be going back next year and I'm positive I'll do it then. :D

I know exactly what I need to work on and am excited about the goal.

There are so many variables and the only negative was the elevation. Everything else was perfect. I finished strong with nothing leftover so I really can't complain about my time.

Right now I'm suffering from post-marathon letdown and can't wait to get back to running but first I have to be able to walk again!!!:+

That is awesome Elaine!! My goal is around 5 hours!!!!!!

You ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!

You are amazing! I'm so happy for you! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Wow, Elaine! That is very impressive! The high elevation is a huge factor and a big negative so finishing with such an awesome time despite that is certainly something to celebrate! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Way to go Elaine!!!!!! I did a marathon in Tahoe and the elevation did take its toll...you did not miss your goal by much...let those legs rest now, you deserve that...:)...Carole

I am absolutely amazed you ran that so fast while dealing with altitude issues! That is fast for perfect conditions...let alone 5000 feet!!!! WOW!!!!! You're awesome! Such an incredible inspiration!!!
