Educated Crowd-Weights help needed

Cathlete
Hi everyone.

I have been doing MIS twice per week since I got it approx. 2 weeks ago. I was resisting going back to weights since I stopped The Firm, and had been doing Cathe cardio 5 days per week with maybe PH once a week if I thought about it. I can't believe this, but I think I can actually feel a change. I am using the heaviest weight I can stand. I did have the inital weight gain of about 4 lbs.,but ignored that as best I could. I can only use 35# for the squats and lunges, and then markedly less than Cathe on Biceps and triceps. I bought .25 and .50 plates and have been increasing the weight a smidge every time I do the tape. Deborah, I also took your suggestion and bought those cute 1# brightbells, and use them to add to my dumbbell weight. I will do this rotation for 4 weeks, and then onto what? I was thinking PS, or do you guys think I should go with the pyramids? I still want to lose about 30 lbs., but I am trying to focus on overall good health instead of starvation.

Rotataion is as follows:
Monday - IMAX
Tuesday - All Step warm up and step, MIS
Wednesday - Cardio
Thursday - Cardio
Friday - All Step warm up and step, MIS
Saturday - Cardio

I need the endorphins from the steppping for MIS.
Suggesstions please!
Thanks, Dawn

You won't like this answer, but I think if you cut down your cardio, you'd have better strength results. Why not do 3 days of MIS and 3 days of cardio? Cathe posted a rotation once doing PH 1x per week and MIS 2x's per week for 4 weeks, then doing PH 2x's and MIS 1x per week for 4 weeks, along with 3 cardios each week. How about doing:
Mon. Cardio
Tue. MIS lower body and All Step
Wed. Cardio
Thu. MIS upper body (and All Step if you absolutely feel the need)
Fri. Cardio
Sat. MIS
I saw great results by doing MIS 3x's a week, MIC 1x, CK 1x, and then Step Works 1x for 4 weeks. I then moved onto a PS rotation. Does anyone else feel like Dawn might be doing too much cardio? I don't know you Dawn, so maybe this is completely doable for you, it just sounds like a lot. I don't want you to get an injury or burn out.

Jilly,
Thanks, it's good advice. It just scares me to death not doing all that cardio. I have this vision of myself instantly gaining 50 lbs., plus I'm so much hungrier when I lift weights instead of cardio. Ok, I'll try MIS 3 times per week, and cardio 3 times. Notice how I so conveniently avoid the whole Power Torture suggestion. Ugh!
Thanks,
Dawn

Hi Dawn,

I'm not all that educated, but I think Jilly may be right. That sounds like an awful lot of cardio!!
