eBayers...

I've never given negative feedback to a seller, but I'm thinking about it now. I won a pair of jeans on June 23. I always immediately pay for my purchase, usually within a couple hours of winning - but never more than 24 hours. I haven't received the jeans as of yesterday. I emailed the seller yesterday to find out when they were shipped and didn't receive a response. Should I attempt to contact again? Or should I wait until the end of the week do give the feedback?

It's a long time, but if they shipped Fed Ex Ground or UPS, especially with the 4th of July Holiday in there, it can take a long time, especially if you're on one coast and they are on the other. So, I'd probably wait until the end of the week, unless the shipper is geographically close to you.

I would give them a little more time. I've had similar problems but I just can't bring myself to leave negative feedback. I'd rather just not leave any feedback at all.

Donna,

I am having this problem too. I bid on an item and won on June 10th. I paid as soon as I had one and I have not received my package yet. Supposedly it is in Hazelwood, MO as of July 6. The guy did not even ship my item until June 23th. I am not happy and have debated on the negative feedback. I have not given negative feedback before either.

Good luck on getting your purchase!

ETA: I live in Illinois so I have no idea how much longer it is going to take.

i would def email them again and let them know if you do not receive your item or a response, you will have to report them to ebay. Things happen, items get lost, people cant get on their computers, deaths in families etc...I believe if you contact ebay and explain, they will give you the persons home phone number or some other way to contact them or they might step in to help. Did this person have 100% good feedback?
Feedback stinks cuz if you leave bad feedback then chances are they will too and you lose in the dealalso. I have never left negative feedback either (I usually dont leave any at all if Im not completely happy) but def leave it if your situation is not resolved because that is the only way other ebayers can be forewarned.
I also wanted to add..if I win an expensive item off ebay, I always ask them for a tracking number before I have paid. That way they are alerted to the fact that I want to know where the heck my package is and if need be, I can actually follow the entire route of my package to its destination. Just for an example, i just bought a nail air brush kit for over $100 bucks. The person only took money orders and would not insure it(why I dont know) I had a feeling I was gonna get ripped off, so I sent my money order with delivery confirm so they had to sign for it and after 2 emails - got him to put a tracking number on it. I just got it yesterday. You really cannot trust anyone these days and must cover your a$$. Just my own 2 cents

July 4th has really messed up the mail, as well as Father's day. Even things I've order or sent out are taking a long time. I would email them again, as you never know the email monster might have ate your email and they haven't seen it. Also do to the holiday they may not be at their computer, a lot of people took off Friday to Tuesday So they might be just getting back to their computer today.

But seriously don't just write one email, pester them if they don't respond. You paid for this item, you deserve to know where it is. It's not anyone's fault that the holidays slowed stuff down, but the person could at least say, hey I sent it on (day whaterver). So you know that it's in the mail, but just got behind all that holiday traffic and hasn't been able to make it your house yet.

Also don't put negative feed back until you get the item, or have pleanty of time for the holiday stuff to clear. This is just in case this person did send when they were suppose to. As it makes you feel kind of dumb when you look down at the post mark and realize they had kept their word it and had mailed it when they said, and was the mail people who screwed up.

Also remember if you paid for first class or media mail or another slow mail. It can take 14 business days, that means it will actually take up to 3 weeks to get to you as you can't count weekends. And with the holidays it could be 20 business days or so.

I just got a video tape that was mailed out on June 22, today at 12 pm, and that was sent priorty mail. So yes, I know you want the item and it's annoying to wait for it. But it could be the mail.

That's why you have an option to give a negative, Donna. If your feelings are negative, let her know. When I sell, I ship immediately and let the buyers know when they can expect their package by using delivery confirmation and setting up email notification. Good sellers get you the item quickly or they let you know why there's a delay.

I just want to say that Bobbi is an awesome seller!! I purchased a few Cathe DVD's from her (before I started using the forums, so I didn't even "know" her from here!) -- they had, unfortunately for her, become too high impact for her. She even took the time to tuck a piece of bubble wrap inside the DVD case so the disk wouldn't slip.

She and I had some lovely exchanges -- and I got my stuff lickety split :)

Bobbi, you rock!

Wait, YOU'RE Bobbi?!?! I knew you had to be on the forums, I just didn't know it was the big cat Bobbi!!!!!

OMG I'm telling you, Bobbi is the GREATEST ebay seller. She made my High Step Challenge package feel like a GIFT!!

I gave her good feedback. I'm also not concerned with giving bad feedback. Feedback is feedback, I figure.

LOL, shoot! I keep checking ebay, hoping I'll find something she's listed. Knowing now who it is, it won't be so likely to happen again, since we all know how the forum members feel about the workouts. Well, I guess I feel that much more fortunate for snagging that deal when it was in front of me.

LOL I can't believe I didn't put the Arizona together.

Thanks Bobbi!

I agree with Kit to wait to give negative (or positive!) feedback until you have the item. Doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than to lessen your irritation at this point.

I too bought from someone who belongs to the forums. I can't remember if it was Bobbi or not but the transaction was great and fast. This person(if it wasn't bobbi) alsoo put bubble wrap in the dvd case!

If anyone needs very pretty 18 gauge, white gold nose screws look for bobbifreedman on eBay bacause I need a smaller guage and they'll be going for a steal. Cathe's DVD's sell themselves but I do like them to feel like presents. That's how I feel when I order something. And I do have a thing for bubble wrap, colored tissue paper and cards. Oh, I also have a jute and rubber yoga mat imported from the UK which is brutal on my elbows and should probably be ebayed as well. Why didn't I think of that before? I've given a negative feedback only once or twice but it's a way to let buyers and sellers know and I can avow how easy it is to be a good seller, easy and it's fun. :)

got anything else to sell? How about Mic? lol I really want that dvd. It gets rave reviws and Rythmic Step and MIC together would put me in cardio heaven. Hey did you ever get your frappacino? I had one today!

Not yet but I am counting the days to the 13th! I thought they weren't available until then? I am so confused.

I have streamlined my Cathe collection very finely. I am not so sentimental that I keep any I don't do regularly. I have a few regrets but I was high on yoga when I went crazy selling and I am watch ebay for a great deal when I can find one. ;) I actually reordered a few from Cathe.com but don't tell my husband, okay? I am having such foot related knee problems right now, it's not funny and there they are, gathering dust. Again. It took me months to decide what to keep and not to, let me tell you. I think ebay is great and the time to look is after Cathe delivers her new series because pre-sale buyers have had a time to review and to decide what to keep or not. At least, that's how I do it. I try to be fair, hence the fixed price. I hate it when someone pays as much for used as they could for a new one right here or nearly as much. I have had really postive ebay experiences. :)
