Eating egg whites????

Just a quick question. I've been trying to cut weight after baby and I keep reading about the prescribed 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup oatmeal for breakfast. My question is....how do you eat the egg whites. I'm not worried about the salmonella scare as we have our own free range chicks that are very healthy, but do you make them in a shake? I am not at the point where I can stomach drinking them raw. Anyone have any ideas as to how to make them into a shake without adding carbs or too many cals and still taste half way decent? Or do you cook them? I'm not too big on cooked eggs, I'd probably rather hide them in a shake. Thanks!!

I scramble 3 eggwhites every morning. If you beat them lightly before scrambling in the pan they end up fluffy just like scrambled eggs.

I make hard boiled eggs, discard the yolk, and eat them like that. I will make an entire "batch," and have them for snacks. I think they are delicious, but I am not a picky eater!

I mix the egg whites with the oatmeal and a little bit of vital wheat gluten and Splenda to make a "protein cookie." They're a little (okay, a lot) chewy, but I like them.

Well, I use Egg beaters. It is egg white without the mess. Great for omlett!
BTW, that's a great idea with the oatmeal. :)

Yes, I bake them until the egg is done, although you can "pan fry" them, too. Just spray a non-stick pan with a little Pam.

Another good way to fix them on the weekend when you have time is saute your favorite veggies in Pam and then make an egg-white omlet. I like mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and spinach. Just be sure to cook them till soft then press any moisture out before putting them in the omlett or it will be squishy. :)

I usually mix up the egg whites and let just a little of the yold in- gives it a little more flavor..then mix in peppers and onions and eat scrambled or in an omlet with a slice of no fat cheese or half a slice of regular cheese
