Easy question: what does DOMS stand for?

This is an obvious question: what exactly does "DOMS" stand for? I understand from the context of other posts that the MS stands for "muscle soreness", but what does the "DO" stand for?

Yesterday I did most of two PS videos, all with proper warmups and stretches -- for an 1 hour 10 minute session -- and this morning I have the MS if not the DOMS. I am starting to up poundage on some of the lifts, and I think this is what caused it.

Delayed-Onset Muscle Soreness is the sore that develops 24-48 hours after a workout, especially if it's a new workout for you, or an increase in intensity from what you had been doing.

If you are lifting heavy enough. :D

But not always. One can lift 'heavy enough' and not get much DOMS (I hate to have people feel they HAVE to have DOMS or they are not doing things right.;))

I often get more DOMS from endurance workouts than from heavy weight workouts.
