Easter baskets and such

Do you ladies (and gents) still fill Easter baskets for your DH/DW/SO? People at work seem to think I'm nuts :p bc I still fill a basket and hide it for DH from the Easter bunny. He does the same for me. Santa also still brings us both stockings and presents as well. Just because we're grownups doesn't mean we should miss out on the fun, right? Coworkers and friends seem to think they are kids holidays. Why can't I be a kid, too? The bunny and Santa come for everyone in our house. Why not? We do small, inexpensive gifts and a bit of candy.

The bunny is also aware that I would like a Lindt chocolate bunny and some robin eggs. The only candy I need. If not, the bunny may be sleeping on the couch:p:p:p:p

I am in a family of all adults, no kids. We have Easter egg hunts every year. We don't do baskets though but my mom makes up all these fun games and we get more candy for winning. I love it! Even my 75 year old mom hunts for eggs. We don't exchange Christmas presents anymore but when we did, we got stockings too!

This year we are going to have some little ones around. I seriously hope I can control myself around all that candy!! :p

Holidays are for everyone! Enjoy having fun and being a kid. That's what life is about.

I think that's adorable!!! We don't do that, but my DH usually gives me a box of my favorite chocolates, and I give him his favorite chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and we decorate eggs together. :D

All our kids are grown so we do a family Easter basket w/everyone's favorite candy. DH makes sure to get mine & of course I get him his. I think it's great to have the Easter Bunny & Santa make visits to your special someone. I say no need to give up the fun stuff just bc you're all "grownup".

Oh yeah! My mom still fills easter baskets, I'm the only one left at home now, but I still get one! And I have 4 young necies and a nephew and we have easter egg hunts and at the end of the day they end up eating their hard boiled eggs...and of course Vincent will have the egg that says "Bailey" and then we have meltdowns. haha

I am 32 and the Easter bunny still pays me and everyone in my family a visit ;-) I also color easter eggs every year...this year I get to indulge with Disney Princess egg coloring/decorating, but strictlyfor my 2 year old niece, just so you understand...not me at all ;-)
I am also going to plan an easter egg hunt this year for my godson and his sister, who are coming for Easter as well.
hee hee hee
okay last one - I always watch It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.... :)
I really am a kid in a grown up's body!

This is my first year without Easter baskets. My boys(20&26) do not want the candy. I bought them Magic the Gathering cards instead. They enjoy that game and the card collection is endless so I can't miss!

I will put out chocolate Easter eggs on the dinner buffet. Easter candy is my favorite! I love jelly beans and stale peeps:p That have to be at least 2 days dried out!

I'm such a wet blanket when it comes to Easter. I always forget when it's coming, and once I'm reminded, I dread going over to my sister's house when she's hosting it (that house has some seriously bad vibes). We don't color eggs or hide baskets or anything. Does "Bah Humbug" work this time of year? :D

Fortunately, I'm heading to my SIL's house this year, and my mom colors eggs with the girls.

My mom still makes these elaborate Easter baskets hunts for all of us...my oldest sister is 42 and she still hunts for her basket. It is great - it welcomes Spring for us!! I am doing it with my little ones this year!

I still color eggs and help the Easter Bunny with a basket for DD and one that DH and I share. Usually filled with our favorite candies and a cute stuffed animal and maybe a DVD for DD and a little decoration that she can use when she starts to do her own Easter. DD is a senior in college. I don't decorate the house like I used to when DD was younger with the Easter table cloth and the egg tree, but baskets still remain a tradition.
