Earthing/Grounding

I was wondering if any other Cathletes have heard of Earthing (aka Grounding). I started reading about it last year and would ground myself when I could during the week but it was never for very long. I had one experience at work where something really upset me and I need to step away so I walked outside (it was summer at the time) and took my shoes off and stood in the dewy grass for about 10-15 min. I felt SO much better by the time I walked back in. I was much more calm. This past Christmas I got an Earthing Kit. I used it here and there until recently. I'm almost done reading the book so I decided last Friday to ground myself while sleeping. I had been feeling very fatigued and tired since the holidays and just couldn't shake it. Friday night I slept grounded all night and I still woke up a few times during the night but I when I woke up in the morning I didn't feel as tired. Lately after sleeping, I still feel like I could use another nights sleep. Aside of feeling more refreshed when I woke up Saturday morning, I also noticed I was able to breathe through my nose better. Normally I would wake up so congested in the sinuses and could barely breathe through my nose. I've also noticed, I feel more calm and not as stressed. I've continued sleeping grounded all week and am looking forward to seeing additional changes the longer I keep grounding myself.

Wondering if anyone else has had a great experience with Earthing (Grounding).

Brenda, this sounds intriguing but I have NO idea what it is. I find that I need to stop what I'm doing when I get really stressed and just take some deep breaths. Is that what grounding is?

Grounding is much more than that. In a nut shell, when grounding you are using the energy from the earth to help heal your body. Our bodies are so full of free radicals and when grounding you are giving your body electrons from earth to help get rid of the free radicals that are harming our bodies. They do have documented testing that they have done on people before and after grounding. Grounding has helped people sleep better at night, decrease the inflammation in their body (various forms of inflammation). Grounding has helped people with Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, ALS, MS, PMS, Menopause, and more. Not saying is has cured these people but has let them live their lives with much less pain. They even showed how grounding affected peoples blood. It went from looking more clumped together before grounding to more free floating and loose after grounding.

I have definitely been intrigued by it which is why I'm going to continue down this path and see how it helps me. So far I'm liking it.
 
Grounding is touted as a major health enhancer by many respected alternative medicine sources. Walking in the grass, on the beach, anywhere that you can safely go barefoot and/or connect with the Earth is extremely beneficial, as this activity strongly supports your root chakra. Here is just one article by Dr. Mercola on this subject. I desperately need more grounding.

I have a grounding kit that I use while I'm sleeping. During the summer though when I'd have the chance I would walk barefoot in the yard and there were times I would lay on the grass for a while to ground myself. Now that I have a grounding kit so I can ground myself during these cold temps, I feel more of the benefits with doing it nightly. One thing I noticed on Saturday was, I have this huge scar from when I had hip replacement surgery over a year ago. The color of my skin around the scar always looked kind of gray. I happen to look at it on Saturday and noticed the color of my skin around my scar looks more normal and the scar itself looks better. Grounding regularly is the only thing different that I have done.

Thank YOU mbumundt! I've visited the Earthing website before, but hesitated to purchase anything. Great to hear that you are pleased with your kit. I will strongly consider giving their products a try. Thanks again! :)
