ear infection question

I have middle ear infections. I saw the doctor on Sunday and am taking Azithromycin. It is the five day series. My ears still ring and feel plugged up and I still feel lousy. Anyone have experience with these things? This is my first ear infection (no idea where it came from) and my last (fingers crossed). But in the meantime, how long do these things last? Thank you.

If the antibiotics work, it should start feeling better in a couple of days and be completely cleared up within two weeks. Just make sure you take your meds for the whole 5 days or it'll come right back. Ear infections can be caused by all kinds of stuff. It can be from a cold, getting too much fluid in your ears, allergies, etc. My daughter had chronic ear infections when she was a baby and the doctor finally figured out it was from allergies. Aparently she's allergic to the state of Tennessee because her allergies have never come back since we moved.

Have you tried chiropractic care for your ear infections?

I will on occassion get swimmer's ear and when I feel it coming on I get in to the chiro right away and he fixes me right up. Sometimes after the treatment I can actually feel the fluid escaping...weird. But, no antibiotics required. Love that.:)

two weeks? Ugh, this is too much. Two weeks! Okay, I guess I will have to be patient. thank you. I don't need a chiro since this is my fist and last one. I don't have insurance either so I have to be careful.
