DVD recommendations?

To all of you who have now taken any new DVD players out of the box since the holidays, I'm looking for recommendations...

What are your opinions for a good DVD multi-disk player that works well with Cathe's tapes (mixing, premixing, workout variations, etc) without breaking the bank? I know not all DVD players can do the functions that are needed for this format. Video Fitness had a few recommendations, but I'm looking for more options.

Thanks!

The Sony 5-disc programmable that I bought a little over a year ago (and is already seriously obsolete) has served me extremely well. I think you can get the newer models of the Sony 5-disker for between $150 - $170.00 either from a gizmo joint like Best Buy or from the Sony.com website.

I've never had Problem One using Cathe's DVD's on this player, and what I like about this model in particular is that if you start to play a chapter and then hit the "Stop" button, the player "remembers" this point for about two weeks and when you slide that particular DVD in, the machine will go right to that point. That makes it seriously easy to do even more customized mixing and matching of Cathe workouts, especially those DVD's that aren't as finely chaptered as her newer productions. I haven't checked out any other company's DVD players so I don't know whether others have that feature, but I sure love mine.

I didn't look for a multi disk DVD player. I have mostly all of Cathe's tapes on VHS, but wanted some DVD's and a DVD player. I got a Zenith DVD/VCR $130.00 at Best Buy. I am new to DVD's and only have 2 of Cathe's. But I have mixed and matched a bit using the VHS tapes and the DVD's. So far it works for me...:)...Carole
